Chapter 2
I had to find someplace to stay. I figured after I got out that Fawn's house was out of the question, but where else?
I decided to walk through town while thinking of something. I made up my mind and called Ella.
"Hello?" She says, answering her phone.
"It's me." I tell her.
"Who i-" she starts to say teasingly.
"Tess." I interrupt. When I do that she knows I really need to talk.
"What's up?" She says seriously.
"I need to stay at your place." I tell her. Better to get straight to the point. Or I might do something stupid, like cry.
"Are sure you have to stay. My dad may not like it."
"I've got nowhere else to go. Please." I say pleading that I will have somewhere warm to stay.
She pause, debating on agreeing with my request, I should think. "Ok."Ella tells me
"Thank you Thank you thank you thank you You are official almost my best best friend in the whole world. Thanks. I'll see you in 5-10 mins bye!" I scream through the phone excitedly, though I honestly don't know why. I make it sound like I am just getting away with some fun, when really I was just desperate to find somewhere to say. Probably has something to do with my awesome personality, obviously.
I turn on my heel to head to Ella's place. I think could get to any of my bestie's houses quite easily, having been there so often. Even if I was dropped off in some random location in Hollywood. Blindfolded. In. My. Sleep.
In case you hadn't noticed, I am very good at navigating myself to any emergency locations.
Having a mental debate on whether to go through the front door and risk bumping into her dad, or up the secret pathway to her backyard and climbing the surprisingly strong Ivy to go in through the balcony of her room.
My feet take me the balcony way. Decision made.
After a long walk down a few streets, I finally reach the hidden path.
I automatically make my way towards it. I slow down my pace as soon as I enter, and take in the scenery around me as I pass by. I really like this path. It's dark, quiet, and really beautiful. Just my kind of place. Though it is quite a struggle dragging my suitcase through it.
After about 5 minutes, I reach the gate by Ella's backyard. From their, I lift myself on top with ease, throwing over the suitcase (not literally, god. That would cause it to open or something, considering I haven't put a lock on the case and it isn't really properly zipped up), then slipping down.
Walking to the boarded area with Ivy clinging to every inch, a question I hadn't considered suddenly comes to mind.
How to I get the suitcase up there?
Stupid feet decision.
Remind me never to let my feet make my decisions for me in the future will you? Yes? No? No. Well, fine then. Don't help me get out of future mistakes then.
I decide to hide my suitcase out of the way in a discrete place (basically, back in the pathway, considering it is practically disused.
Then, I make my way up. Having had plenty of practise, I make it to the top without any struggles.
I knock on the balcony window 17 times so Ella knows it is me. 17 meaning one of her bestie's in an emergency.
After a few moments, Ella quickly but quietly slides the door open, pulling me in before shutting door hurriedly.
