Waking Up To Awkward Moments

I sighed as I brushed my cheek against the warm flesh beneath me. Wait, flesh? I could feel arms wrapped snuggly around me and by my guess I was lying spread across someone. But who?

I lifted my head to see a pair of hazel eyes glinting at me. "Hello, love. Pleasant dreams?"

I still wasn't able to formulate words and so I dropped my head back down to his chest. "Hello, Crow."

"You know, after we made that deal, I do believe you never gave the kiss to seal it." He lifted my chin up so that I had to meet his gaze. "Care to do so now?"

I can't begin to even tell you how tempted I was to lean closer and do as he asked. I started to, my eyelids flicking down slightly. He leaned closer as well but I could see the shock in his eyes. He didn't expect me to take his offer, but he offered no objectives. His lips were an inch from mine...

"Hey, Val. Breakfast is ready if you can— Oh shit!" Bobby yelled when he saw us. My eyes widened and I quickly leapt off of Crowley. Bobby's eyes were wide in shock as well, his mouth opening and closing like a fish.

To make matters worse at Bobby's shout, Sam and Dean came running as well. I flopped against the bed with my eyes slitted but Crowley merely leaned back disinterestedly. "Hello boys; Bobby."

Bobby looked at me. "Tell me that this isn't what it looks like, Val."

I sat up. "Of course it isn't. He got caught in my Devil's trap." I pointed upward but Sam frowned.

"What trap?"

"It's in the painting. I made it myself when I was living here."

"That's interesting." Dean's gaze flicked over me and I was clueless as to why.

"Eyes up, squirrel." I heard Crowley growl. I looked down and saw that the sheet covering me had dipped down a lot. I tugged it up and glared at him.

"Crow, care explain just why I'm almost naked?"

He shrugged. "I couldn't leave."

I  stared in disbelief. "So you decided to undress me because you were bored?"

"It made staying a lot more entertaining."

Bobby cleared his throat and I glanced at him, blushing slightly. "Sorry. Can you grab me that paint brush and that paint there?"

"Why can't you get it?"

I cleared my throat and waved my hand down my sheet covered body. "Now, unless anyone would like to see a show, I'd suggest that you get out of here." Bobby and Sam quickly left but Dean stayed. I glared at him and he raised his hands.

"Hey, you're hot and dangerous. I love that in a woman."

I couldn't keep my laugh back. He had no idea just how dangerous I was. Crowley growled once again. "Get out, while you still have eyes to see with."

"Why do you get to stay?" Dean asked and right after that you could practically hear the embarrassment he was feeling. "Right then. Well, I'll just get going." He left and I couldn't help but send a little smirk to Crow.

"Weren't you wearing a shirt? I believe that didn't take it from you."

"Surprise, surprise. And yes, love, I was wearing a shirt. But I typically sleep naked. Be glad that I made this decision to keep my pants on."

"Indeed. Yeah, I'm glad that you spared me that unfortunate mental scarring." I grinned mockingly at him and his eyes narrowed. He made a move for me but I leapt out of the bed and outside of the Devil's Trap. I had moved in a blur, grabbing his shirt and throwing it on in the process.

Crowley sat back and put his hands behind his head. "You never did explain to me exactly why you are able to move faster than the average human. Or why you needed that necklace."

I froze in the process of putting the brush into the paint. I wouldn't ever be able to tell him what I was; not considering that I knew his reputation. Only Bobby had an idea of what I was and that wasn't even the whole of it. And if I couldn't tell him what I was then I certainly could tell him why I needed the necklace.

"The necklace doesn't work," I said finally. I carefully painted over the spot a motioned for him to get out. When he did, I motioned towards my desk. "Hand me the blue, please."

He did and I carefully sliced my palm to mix my blood into the mixture. I didn't want him seeing the color of it and so I kept it hidden before adding it to the painting.

"You know, you also failed to mention just what that necklace does."

I jumped down from the bed post. " It doesn't matter. I need to go and get something."

"I can take you."

"Actually, no you can't." I was pulling on jeans and boots, tucking his shirt into the waist band. I got my weapons stash out and once again hid them in various places.

His gaze followed me and my multitude of weapons. "Why not?"

"Because I said so. I'm tracking the creature that the Winchesters are hunting."

"And why can't I come?"

"I work better alone. That's why I'm going before they do."

"Fine then." He poofed away and I rolled my eyes. Drama queen.
