It's crazy to think that so much can change in one year, your whole world can be turned around in just one day. Which is exactly what happened to me, one year ago today; my entire world was flipped upside down.
*FlashBack*
I'm beyond excited, I'm at my favorite venue; seeing my absolute favorite band, Hollywood Ending with my five best friends; Katie, Kaylin, Emily, Emma, and Nicole. Hollywood Ending is beyond talented, and not to mention they are extremely cute; especially Cameron. All I can see is the pitch black stage; all I can hear is my best friends chanting Hollywood Ending, looking around for Cameron Byrd, Tyler Wilson, Danny Geraghty, Justin Mondzak and James Ennis. Then all of a sudden I hear James on the drums getting louder, feeling my heartbeat get in sync with the beat and then I see Justin walk out playing his bass, flashing his award winning smile. Then all of a sudden it goes silent and everything gets pitch black. A flash of light comes on, and then I finally hear the words I’ve waiting to hear for hours; “Be brave, Stay the same, Snapshot, yeah, it’s okay we’re gonna be alright” sung by Tyler. All of the spot lights turn on; I instantly see Tyler in his always changing fashion trend, Cameron, right in front of me in a blue tee shirt; holding his black Zader Telecaster Guitar and Danny with his fiery red hair and his matching Gibson Guitar on the opposite side of the stage, then you see Chris Bourne; their old bassist run out and I become completely speechless. Chris left the band about two months ago, due to him living primarily in England, but he's making a special guest appearance this tour.
This isn't our first time seeing the boys, we've seen them a lot at concerts and house parties. We've been huge fans of them since 2011 when they appeared in Disney Channel's "Next Big Thing" contest and placed third (they should've won!). Cameron and I have gotten close since then, and we sometimes DM on twitter a lot and when they're not on tour we text a lot. I haven't seen him in about 3 months, and I miss that boy like crazy.
They played their normal set list, but with a twist; right before "Forever And Always" they brought a stool onto stage, and said they were going to bring up someone special up onto stage. Every person in the crowd is looking around trying to figure out who it is, then I look back at the stage and realize Cameron is waving at me to come up. I feel my face instantly turn red and I walk up the stairs and sit like they told me to. Then they bring our three more stools for the boys to sit on, and they switch over to acoustic guitars and start to sing Forever And Always, aka my favorite song. At the end, Cameron grabs my hand looks directly into my eyes and says the words I've only imagined hearing from him. "Kaycee, I have liked you since the very first concert I laid my eyes on you. From our serious talks, to our absolutely ridiculous ones, I've gotten a huge crush on you and I want you to be mine. so Kaycee, will you be my girlfriend?" I was in complete and utter shock, looking at my best friends desperately trying to figure out how to respond. And I said those five words that would change my life forever, "of course I will Cameron".
