He stood across the way and stared as the man played with his child he felt a tight pain in his chest as they laughed the pain grew as the mother joined the father and child. Oh how he longed to join the smiling faces. Though he had forgotten how to smile as true as that long ago. He wished he could remember a time where he made a face such as the smiling ones he watched so closely. He prayed to a god he never believed in for just one memory where he made a smile that sincere though he already knew he would get no answer yet he still prayed for a sweet memory of happiness and warmth. He prayed to the god he believed took his happiness away that removed the smiling face he once had.
