Grace's POV
I woke up to the sound of my mother banging pots and pans around the kitchen, great, my mom was cooking. I mean she's a great cook but I would be greatly satisfied with simple dinners not crap that half the time I can't even pronounce. I get up and drag myself to my bathroom which is also connected to my room. I wash my face, brush my teeth and put up my hair. I walked out and opened my curtains so I could let a bit of light in my room. I saw an extremely attractive guy carrying a box. That house has been empty for almost 2 months, so I knew someone had to be moving in.
I walk down stairs to see my mom tracing a cookbook with her pointer finger.
'Good morning Mom'
She looked up startled.
'Oh Good morning Darling! How did you sleep?'
I smiled at her because she had flour on her nose.
'I slept great. So mom do you know anything about the new family next door?'
I said as I put a piece of pancake in my mouth.'All I know is that they are moving from Maryland, but Mrs. Hall seems like a dear. Actually I'm making them an Apple pie right now if you'd run it over to them after.'
I rolled my eyes, but I kinda was curious who the cute boy was.
'Ya I'll take it over there.'
She smiled, 'Oh I here they have a son, I didn't ask the name but he's pretty attractive.'
My jaw dropped, ' MOM! You're like old you can't say that.'
'I may not be as young you but your momma can get it.'
I grabbed a pancake and walked slowly upstairs.
'Honestly Mom I don't even want to know about that especially when I'm trying to eat breakfast.'
I was an only child which means me and my mom had kind of a special bond, especially since it's only us in the house. My parents have been divorced for about 6 months now, and without my dad being here it just seems weird.
I got upstairs and walked into my closet. I scanned my wide selection of shirts and shorts, grabbing my high-waisted shorts, and a blue crop top and my white converse. I decided to straighten my hair and wear my diamond earrings I got for my 14th birthday. My mom was still banging pots and pans so I decided to just hop on twitter and check some things.
After I waisted about an hour of my time checking social media I decided to check on my mom.
'Grace, here's the pie will you take it over next door?'
I nodded, ' Wait, aren't you coming with me?'
She gave me the 'You're not 10 anymore' look.
'Fine, but you owe me.'
Before she could say another word I was already out the door.
I knocked and waited for somebody to answer, somebody who I'm pretty sure is Mrs. Hall answers the door.'Hi, I'm Grace. I live right next door, my mom baked you this Apple pie.'
She smiles,' Aw how sweet of your mother, please do come in. I'm Mrs. Hall.'
I stepped into the house, it was so much bigger from the inside.
'Nice to meet you, Mrs. Hall.'
'So, Grace, How old are you?'
'Im 15, almost 16.'
'Let me go get my son, you two are the same age.'
She screams,' BRYCE WE HAVE COMPANY'
'Im coming' I here a deep voice say.
He walks down stairs and looks at me.
'Hi' I wave, I can't help but blush as he smiles. He is hands down the cutest guy I have ever laid eyes on.
'Hi' he said and smiled just as big back.
'Bryce, this is Grace, she lives next door.', says Mrs. Hall
'Nice to meet you', I say, 'I should get going but if you guys need any help unpacking or anything It'll be my pleasure to help.'
I'm about to walk out the door when I hear Bryce say my name.
'Grace, come around five and we can hang out or something. I mean if you want' he smiled rubbing the back of his neck.
'Ya, Ya I'd love to' I smiled and walked out.
Holy crap was he hot.
