Skylar walked anxiously into the school halls and to her locker. She knew today was the day she would finally be the day she would reveal her true self to her long best friend, Ell. Ell was a transgender who was always the one joking around. She and skylar were always together when they had a period with each other.
*RING* the 1st period bell rang. "Dammit, I'm late again! Stupid locker!" Skylar hated the lockers at this school. There was a 7 digit code and the lock was very complicated. She always had trouble. Ell had it down, and was helping Skylar a lot with these locks. Skylar was a slight klutz. Ell wasn't as klutzy but had bad grades usually. She was doing bad in school and had a bad home life but always had to put on a fake smile because she had a happy reputation.
Skylar got to the first period door right as the announcements came on. "Blah Blah blah Can food drive. Blah blah blah No Bullying," and she took her seat. Ell was there in the desk right next to hers, and the desks were in pairs. The class began as usual. Just boring old math class. They just sat, yawning and writing down the linear equations of a line.
