Chase Asher was sitting on the dining pavilion at Camp Half Blood when he saw the new boy. He had, dark, wavy hair and bright blue eyes. They reminded Asher of the seas and the skies.The new boy had caramel toned skin and little scars on his chin. His thin lips were in a frown. He looked very nervous. He was playing with his frayed t- shirt but he immediately stopped when he sensed that Chase was staring at him. Chase quickly turned his head around.He was embarrassed about staring at the boy and he felt that his cheeks were warm. Wait, was he blushing?
A moment later, as Chase was finishing the food on his plate, Elfy and Lou,his friends came to greet him. Chase's glasses blocked his vision so, he took them off to wipe them.When he wore his glasses again, he realized that the boy was there with them. Chase decided to look away from him. "Chase! Chase!", Lou screamed; her curly hair was tied in a ponytail and her thick glasses were lopsided. She was a child of Hephaestus, so she looked and acted a lot like the famous demigod, Leo Valdez."This is Aaron" she pointed at the boy He's new at the camp". Aaron smiled uncomfortably. Lou continued "We found him on the woods this morning. Apparently, he had a friend who knew about Camp Half Blood. He led him here." Lou signaled Chase to greet the boy. So, Chase held his arm out and replied "Nice to meet you. I'm Chase Asher, son of Athena." Aaron shook his hand and his blue eyes met Chase's blue-ish grey eyes that always looked like they were glowing. His hands were soft and warm. Chase didn't want to go; he wanted to keep holding his hand and talk to him more, but he knew that he had to let go of that thought.
The stars were shining in the black sky. Chase was with his half brother Malcolm and they were on their way to the campfire. Malcolm and Chase looked familiar; both of them had the same eye color and the same blond hair. Chase's glasses were the only way people could tell them apart. The closer they were to the campfire, the louder it got. There were children of Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Ares and lots more. But the loudest of them were the Hermes cabin. They u were usually loud, but that night, they were welcoming their new half- brother, Aaron. When Malcolm and Chase arrived at the campfire, Chiron had already introduced Aaron to the whole camp and they had already eaten all the s'mores. Now, the campers were playing music; some children of Aphrodite were singing and the children of Apollo were playing all kinds of different instruments. Chase recognized one of the Apollo kids, Will. He wasn't playing any instruments or singing tonight; Will was sitting with the son of Hades. Will's arms were wrapped around Hades' son, Nico, and Wills head was positioned next to Nico's. Their noses touched and they were smiling. Then, Nico moved pressed his lips against Will's and they kissed. Chase smiled. He was truly happy for them: they loved each other. Chase looked towards the children of Hermes and spotted Aaron, who was being hugged (it looked more like he was being strangled)by Travis and Connor. Aaron looked at Chase and blushed, so did Chase. But both of them kept staring at each other; with huge smiles on their faces. Chase hoped that one day, he and Aaron could be together.
