New Kid On The Block, Well In The State.

I looked around the moldy smelling house and dropped my bag on the stairs and began searching for the kitchen. A 30 hour ride from New York to the middle of nowhere works up an appetite. I'm Alexa, a seventeen year old actress, who just got slowly torn away from her life and dreams.

See, I was born and raised in New York. It's all I know. But when my aunt got sick my mother packed up and went to help. So not even a day later my father and I follwed with everything else from our nice little place in Manhattan. And now I am here, In Casper, Wyoming. Granted its the largest town in Wyoming but still has a weak population compared to home.

My parents met here. My mother had been working in a hotel resraunt at the time and daddy was on a business trip from New York. Although daddy has lived in 47 states and mommy had never left Wyoming until her honeymoon, they tell me "The moment we saw eachother, we knew". Blech. I rolled my eyes as I stepped into an empty bedroom.

But, back to the important stuff. I was popular in New York at my school. Not the kind of 'popular' that you see in movies and everyone hates them. The kind of popular that everyone knows, and loves. I would throw a party every other weekend. I had a million friends, and all the girls and all the guys liked me. I never dated anyone after HE left the city.

I gasped. "Crap."

I turned from where I was and found my way back out of the maze I had wondered into. I launched myself outside before the moving truck roared into life. Opening the back door with a quick tug I reached under the seat and grabbed my stuffed animals. I could not lose Bart and Elise. It was all I had left of HIM. My parents didn't understand that. During the move they kept telling me that I had enough stuffed animals. But none of them were as special as Bart and Elise. Bart is my penguin that HE had won for me at the county fair. While Elise is my stuffed purple dinosaur, and I hadn't gotten Elise from HIM but from the my best friend... I stopped myself as I teared up thinking of losing Shawna

I was torn from my intense thinking when a drop of rain fell on my head. I looked up to see a cloud formed in a huge oval shape. I sighed as I turned back to my new home.

Later that night I had settled in my room with all my things covered in plastic. Tomorrow daddy and I were going to paint my walls whatever colors I picked out from the Home Depot. I looked at the walls contemplating what I wanted on them. A ring from my phone grabbed my attention. I reached over and unlocked it to my messsages. Morgan had texted me.

"Hey hun how's hell?"

"Terrible. Absolutley scorching."

"Aww I'm sorry. We all miss you so much here!"

"I miss you guys too. You have no idea how freaked out I am for school. This place is so tiny. I'm sure that in about two weeks, I'll know everybodys name, address, and natural hair color."

"Well tonight we are going to use up the last of the mary-jane you bought us. We'll be thinking of you love <3"

"You better. That shit cost me an arm and a leg. Well Morgan, I'm hella tired so I'm going to hit the sack. Night."

"Night love!"

I tossed my phone at the end of my bed and walked across the room to grab some pajamas. After some tossing and stuffing I settled on an old button down shirt and some boy shorts. I grabbed the clothes and headed to my bathroom.

Earlier after I came back inside I had resolved to give up on the kitchen for now and find my room. The search of all three levels had proved usefull. I found that the place has 5 baths and 5 bedrooms. Two of the rooms and baths were just singles, while the other three had their own connected bathrooms. Including mine, my parents, and the main guest. The guest and the two extra rooms were all on the ground floor, with the dining room and the kitchen. The Master, TV, and family room were all on the top floor. Which left the basement all to the laundry room, the den, and me. Every room except for the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room had a quaint blue and purple swirled rug. Each bathroom was tiled in a simple cold white marbled stone, probobly so they could be decorated and painted as the owner pleased. When I finally did find the kitchen I saw it was huge. The island was the size of a twin bed and the counter ran around the perimeter. It was a very nice marble counter.

I shivered as my feet pattered onto my bathroom floor. I reached under the sink into the basket and grabbed a towel. I pulled my clothes off and threw them into the hamper. As I stepped into the shower I wrapped the towel on the rack. The shower was simple just because I am a daily shaver but today I was to lazy so I simply washed and conditioned my hair. I step out onto the mat and dried off. I slipped into my shirt and shorts and brushed my teeth before leaving. Walking into my cool room half naked after a boiling shower shocked me and I jumped to my bed and pulled the covers over me settling into my fetal position on the queen size bed. The last second before my eyes closed for a nine hour coma, I saw a flash of a set of beautiful emerald colored eyes telling me to sleep tight.
