A new day in New Orleans, Cola Delgado a powerful witch who had issues with The Originals in the past, returns to New Orleans and confronts them. She attacks Tessa and desiccates her to channel her energy. Upon her return, Klaus and Justin tortured Cola before killing her. Elijah, who is worried about Tessa goes after her traces and Davina accompanies him. He finds her lying on the floor inside Cola's spell circle but he can't get into it to save her. He learns from Davina that the only way to save Tessa is by breaking the spell with Werewolf blood. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Catherine Piece was the one who brought Cola in the city a few years ago in order to defeat Klaus. Cola kills the imprisoned vampires under Klaus' mansion and later sacrifices herself to Megan in order to give her the power to take control over the coven. In 2005, Jeremy and Tessa begin a plan in order to keep their unconditional love forever. Tessa works as a nurse and befriends the witch Sasha as well as Megan, later uses Sasha to bring back Tessa's father — Mikael who can kill Klaus. When Tessa attacks Sasha, Megan oversees and Tessa both infected them with the contagious bloody spell leaving them to die desperately.
Back In the present, Sasha reveals to Klaus about the betrayal of Jeremy and Tessa. Rebekah on the other hand is on a mission of her own as she attacks Megan and is looking for answers. Finally, when Klaus is freed and is on his way to punish Tessa for her betrayal, Elijah comes in time to save her. As Klaus asks Tessa where is Jeremy, but Tessa tells him she does not know in a serious tone.
