It had been a week since I had desire, she made me the happiest man in the world but with all this other shit going on I couldn't help but be stressed. While my mother was being petty, mad that I didn't want a dna test the doctors were also talking bout pulling the plug on jayda. They seen no signs of her progressing and that had me shook. I knew what it felt like growing up with a mom who was in and out of jail but at the end of the day I always knew she'd come back. How would my daughter grow when she didn't have her mother?

Today was a stressful day hearing that plus having to take desire to practice with me was alot. I was constantly tending to her and her needs to where I barely got anything done

I guess since my mom ain't gone watch her ima have to hire a nanny or some shit

"Daddy?" I Looked over to her small frame standing by my door noticing she had tears stained on her face

Immediately I ran to her side

"Was wrong baby you had a bad dream?" I question

"No... i.. I had an accident daddy and I'm so sorry please don't whoop me"

Hearing her hyperventilate I couldn't believe this was all over her peeing in the bed

Pulling her small body into my arms I kissed her forehead

"It's OK baby it's just an accident... why would I whoop you.. does mommy whoop you when you have an accident"

"No.. nick did daddy and I tried to tell him it was only an accident. I was scared of the dark"

"Who's nick baby?" I ask while tryna hide my anger

"He's mommy's boyfriend and he lives with us... he always hit mommy when they think I'm sleeping. I was doing really good with not peeing on myself because mommy bought me a night light so i wouldn't be scared but the day mommy had her accident nick put me in bed. He said mommy wasn't feeling ok, the baby in her tummy was making her sick. Nick forgot to turn on my light so when I woke up I was to scared to walk to the bathroom. Once I finally got up to tell mommy nick woke up and wasn't happy he started yelling at me mommy told him to stop but he kept on.. then he got a belt and started hitting me I begged mommy to help and she ran out. I thought mommy was leaving me daddy. but she came back with knife and hit his face with it he stop hitting me because his blood was spraying everywhere. He grabbed mommy and started hitting her she was screaming at first but then she stopped.. I remember my teacher teaching us the polices number and I wanted to save mommy daddy.. "

I couldn't hold back the tears no more. I should've fucking been there to protect them man I should've fucking been there

Waking up the next morning with my baby girl on my chest I said a quick prayer. Even though I was supposed to be doing this Nike commercial today I had more important shit to do. I was going to find our who tf this nick nigga was and get desire enrolled in a school closer to my house

Looking down at my princess I could see the perfect blend between me and her mother. She was truly perfect.

"Daddy.. you and mommy are weird. Why yall always staring at me?" She ask while finally looking up to me

"Cause your beautiful"

"Really daddy?" She ask with the biggest grin on her face

"Mhm... your the beautifulest girl in this world and you deserve everything your heart desires... that's why your mama named you that"

"I love you too... now let's go eat some breakfast"

"Yay!" She yelled as she hopped out of my bed
