It's Cold Out.

(Jack's POV):

When I rolled up to Jenna's house I must admit I was nervous. I decided to go for a bit of a formal look so I wore jeans and a button down shirt. I parked just outside her house and walked up to the front door.

I rang the doorbell and waited. Seth opened the door. "Hello Luke." he said. "Uh hello Seth." I said to him. "It's Mr. Jacobson to you." he said. "Sorry Mr.Jacobson." I said, still extremely nervous. "I'm just playing." he smiled. Jenna ran down the steps. "Hi Luke!" she waved.

She sat down on the wooden floor to pull on her black boots. She looked very ghetto. When she was done, I pulled her up. "Alright Mr. Hemmings, I want my sister back home at 9:30 sharp." Seth said in a fatherly voice. "Yes sir!" I smiled at him as Jenna pulled me towards the door.

"So where are we going?" she asked me. "Oh I was thinking maybe we could go watch 'Once upon A time in Paris'. You know the black and white movie." I said to her showing her the tickets. "That's my parents' favourite movie!" she said.

When we got to the theatre it was literally almost empty. It was a school night after all. We got the seats and bought a box of popcorn to share.

(Jenna's POV):

The movie got over around 7:45 and we had another hour to kill. We decided to go to a place we'd been to before. Baidridge road. The moon was starting to reveal its self now and there was a slightly chilly breeze blowing by. We hadn't fnished the popcorn so we were snacking on that as we were walking. "So.... Are we going back to that lake?" Luke asked me.

"Yeah pretty much, unless you wanna go somewhere else....?" I told him. "Nah, it's cool." he replied. That's when his phone started ringing. "Aren't you going to answer that?" I asked him. "Not really, It's my dad." he said. "So then you should pick up." I said to him. "He's probably drunk." he said to me looking at the ground. "Hey, it's ok." I said to him, trying to cheer him up.

"Do you miss her? Your mom?" I asked him. "Yeah, I do. Especially my sister." We reached the lake and I felt myself wanting to reach for his hand. Instead I held it back. It was so quiet, I could hear the dim and grey sounds of the night and then he took my hand. He entwined his fingers with mine and and I held on to his. He looked at me and I stared out into the distance and then we said nothing more.
