My laugh bounced across the walls of my throne room, as the court jester gave a very amusing show to me and my wife. Just as he was finishing his act, the room was bathed in a blue light. I looked to the open ceiling to see the moon shining against the floor. As a woman came down through the light, everyone in the room gasped.

I stood up from my throne, and walked to the middle of the floor where I kneeled and bowed my head while saying, "It is an honor to be in your presence goddess."

Her angelic voice responded, "And mine yours. Now, I have to ask you a favor."

"Anything, my goddess."

"You must give me strength to bless my next child."

The shock showed easily on everyone's faces as they heard what she said.

"Child my goddess?"

"Yes, she will be a shifter, able to move in more forms than two. You will meet her one day. She will be in one of her worst states, but you must train her to be strong. Never tell her of this meeting, and treat her like a daughter."

I nodded, and I felt my wolf's power getting partially taken by the goddess. A bright white light emanated from the goddess. The light was too much for my eyes, so I was forced to close them. Minutes passed as I felt my strength returning, and the bright light fading. I opened my eyes to see the goddess gone, and everyone in my pack of assasins opening their eyes as well.

I quickly shifted into my big red wolf, and howled to the moon, thanking her for gifting us with her child. Soon the howls of my pack joined me as they shifted into their wolves and praised the moon goddess.
As they all left to go home in wolf form, I padded over to my mate, and nuzzled her silver face. I howled once again to thank the moon goddess for protection, and my mate followed me to our bedroom to get a peaceful sleep.
