It all started like any other day. A chill morning breeze blew as people bustled around the city sidewalks, hurrying along with urgency in their step. If you had stopped one of them and told them that today would be the most extraordinary day of their life, they probably would just glare at you momentarily before resuming the same boring routine they went through every other day. They would walk away, back down the same sidewalk they walked down every other day of their lives, completely oblivious to what their day would hold.

"Alright everybody, remember, notes on chapters 5-8 are due next Friday at the beginning of class. Otherwise, you are dismissed."

Clara dragged a dry erase marker over the whiteboard at the front of her class as her students shoved through the door, bustling towards the lunchroom. Once the whiteboard was clean, she grabbed her purse, her helmet, and her leather jacket. She double checked to make sure he had everything, she grinned.

"Well, Mr. Pink. How was your day. This Jennifer girl is going to be the...death...of..."

She turned around and looked in the doorway of her classroom, expecting the warm, loving gaze of Danny Pink, a former teacher, and, her boyfriend. But he wasn't there. He died. Clara remembered the graveyard, Missy, the Cybermen. He died. He. Died. She told herself this over and over again. She tried to move on, but how could she? He was; everything, and what had she done? She never had been there. She was always off on adventures with the Doctor. She loved him, she was never there, and now he's dead. Tears started to stream down her face. She wiped them away as she rushed out of her classroom.

She speedily walked down the familiar halls that she had walked down many times before. Children gathered around their lockers as they grabbed their sweatshirts and headed out to recess. Clara kept walking until she came to the front doors.

She pushed through the doors and began running as fast as she could to the parking lot. She slowed her pace to a walk as she neared her motorcycle, instinctively throwing on her jacket and helmet. She rustled through her bag and pulled out her keys. Upon reaching her motorcycle, she hopped up on to the seat while simultaneously putting the keys into the ignition. She turned the keys and heard the familiar hum of the engine as she put the kickstand up and backed out of her spot. She slowly started off the school property, but upon reaching the interstate, she sped away, dodging around cars and barely scraping through red lights.

Eventually she slowed as she came to the older part of town. Old, closed down buildings freckled the streets, but she was looking for one in particular. She glanced at the old shops through her helmet visor, scanning the fronts of them for a name or sing. Finally, she found the one and pulled up next to it. She turned off her motorcycle and put the kickstand up, stepping into the sidewalk while removing her helmet. The shop was a faded baby blue, with big colorful letters across the front window reading Wally's Wonderful Toys. She pushed open the front door, ignoring the loud squeaking from the old hinges.

Old shelves lined the walls with rusty wind up toys and moldy stuffed animals scattered about on them. She walked across the plaster covered floors and looked up at the ceiling. It was dropping in at the middle, touching the tops of the shelves. There was a fine layer of dust settled over everything in the room.

"Doctor?", she called out. " Are you there?"

"Yes, yes. Back here. Hurry up, there's somewhere I want to go." She heard his muffled voice come from somewhere near the back of the room.

She giggled with joy and ran to the back room, pushing through the Employees Only door. And there it was, the T.A.R.D.I.S. It stood tall and blue, a sort of ticking whirring noise resonating out from the inside. The doctor was leaning against the door, his arms folded around his chest. He grinned at me and stepped forward.
