I groan after clicking snooze on my phone for the fourth time.

"Holy shit Emma, I'm driving to school in about 30 minutes so get your aśś up and hurry, cause trust, I will make you walk" my brother Nathan says as he turns around and slams the door shut behind him.

"Bïtch" I say under my breath.

I grab my phone and check the time. I had about 30 minutes to get ready and I already know I'm gonna look like shit.

I set my phone aside and get up. I quickly run downstairs and drink a cup of milk before heading back upstairs.

I brush my teeth then run to my closet.

I pick out a pair of black jeans and a white t with a denim jacket on top.

I put only a bit of makeup which consisted of foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeliner, and a dark brown ish lipstick.

I grab my bag and my docs.

"Bye dad, is Nathan outside?" I ask as I start to put my shoes on.

"He said he can't always be late since in his case grade 12 'matters' and left. Although it does matter it's not like he does the work though." My dad says

"I swear to fuc-"

"Emma! Hey don't swear"

I grab my phone and call my best friend Grace.

"Hello?"

"Grace, I need a favou-" I say as I get cut off... again.

"A drive for school, yeah my brother and I are already on our way" she says.

She doesn't give me a chance to reply, she just hangs up.

But the words 'my brother' really came out at me.

I mean her brother Luke Hemmings was a pretty good looking guy, but I mean I would never you know have a crush on him. Right I mean, isn't it a bad thing unless grace is cool with it then I won't mind.

I hear honking outside and I immediately knew it was them.

"Bye dad!" I say as I shut the door.

I open the back door and I can already feel my face heat up from Luke's stare.

"What's up hoe" Grace says.

"Shut the fück up"

"Hey love, did Nathan leave you again?" Luke asks.

I try my best not to be awkward but, knowing me I obviously was. "Uh yeah yeah I mean yeah" I say as I look at the ground.

"You okay?" Grace asks. "You seem nervous"

"Me?" I say as I point to myself. "What? No. Why would I uh be nervous" I say as my voice trails off.

"Um alright" she says with a little chuckle.
