When I woke up, it was already half past 12. Groggy and tired, I shuffled towards the door as my hands reached towards the doorknob.
The moment I was about to open the door, it burst open and I jumped back, my heart thumping with surprise.
"What the heck!?" I yelled as I heard a familiar annoying snort.
As I expected, Kid appeared from behind the door with a cheeky grin plastered on his face. "Ehhh? Don't tell me I scared you again Kudo-kun."
"No, you didn't. I was just suprised. Anyways, when did you even wake up? I didn't hear any footsteps."
"I was awake for quite a while thank you, I even made breakfast."
"You what?" I asked, not even bothering to hide my astonishment.
"I. made. Breakfast. You know, it's eaten in the morning, the first meal of the day. Ever heard of it?"
"...of course I have! I'm not stupid! I was just shocked by the fact that you actually possess the decency to make breakfast for others."
"Well, I do. People just think that I don't. Do you always have to judge people without actually getting to know them? I must say, I'm hugely disappointed in you, Kudo-kun."
"...I don't judge. According to Conan Doyle, it is a capital mistake to judge before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
Therefore, I do not judge. When I very rarely do happen to do so, it is after I have gathered all the necessary information."
"Then what about the comment you just made a few moments ago?"
"...That's called deduction, not judgement."
"Fine. You win. Anyway, are you just gonna stand around here like a goofball or go down and have breakfast? Because if you don't come now, I'll have your fill as well."
"What did you make?... No, that's not the problem. Can you even cook?"
Kid overdramatically gasped and pretended to faint, as he stared at me with fake hurt reflected in his eyes.
"Of course I can cook! Better than you at least, the only thing you can make is toast and coffee!"
"Well that's because Officer Megure called me every day to help him solve murders and... wait, how do you know that the only thing I can make is toast and coffee?"
Kid froze and guiltily shuffled as he twiddled his fingers, refusing to meet my eyes.
I sighed, since I had already figured out that Kid was aware of my every habits and secrets, but pressed the topic because I was annoyed that he had me in a corner as well a second ago.
"I always wondered how you knew all these small details about me. Tell me now, how do you know this?"
Kid gawked, and continued to play with his fingers. I could literally hears the gears inside his brain whizzing, as he desperately sought a way to change the topic.
"You know what? Forget it. I don't care." I shrugged and walked past him, heading downstairs to eat the breakfast Kid prepared.
Behind me I heard a relieved sigh, and amused, I walked down the stairs planning various ways place Kid in a tight position.

Hello everyone! I'm very sorry for the delayed update.
One of my friends recently asked me when kid and shinichi were going to kiss.
Well, I am very, very sorry to say that they won't be kissing soon.
They definitely will be, but not now. I would rather make the story detailed and smoothly flowing than to speed it up and confuse you guys.
So I apologise if you were expecting something more than a quarrel.
Anyways, have a good day/night and,
"See you next illusion!"
