AUTHOR'S NOTE: I FOUND THIS UNFINISHED CHAPTER THAT I NEVER PUBLISHED AND LIKE I WILL LEAVE Y'ALL with this. HAHA sorry for not updating for like four years, writing a cute message about how I'm all grown up and will never update again, and THEN leave you with a shittily written chapter that leaves you at a CLIFFHANGER (honestly I don't know how I intended to wrap this baby up and I'm also on the edge of my seat to see what happens next but RIP because none of us will probably never know).
Your P.O.V
I sluggishly walked up to the Shack rubbing my eyes. Right after leaving the Shack yesterday, I had ran up into my room and read The Telltale Fable of the Unstable Table. God knows how long I stayed up, but I finished it. Jenkins W. Jenkins had done it again. It was a hell of a good book. Thinking of The Myth of Ms. Smith's Fifth Withe made me so freaking excited.
In a way, it was really weird having something in common in Dipper. We both had hated each other, never realizing how much we might have had in common.
As usual I knocked on the door to the Shack. It was pretty early so I wasn't surprised when Dipper was still in his nightwear (if you could call it that; it was just his normal attire without his damn vest. Like seriously does this guy change?).
"Oh, hey Y/N," he yawned.
"Hey Dipper, I finished The Telltale Fable of the Unstable Table!" I exclaimed. Dipper let me in as we fangirled over it again. We both decided that we would both go to buy our own copies of The Myth of Ms. Smith's Fifth Withe right when it came out.
Both of us entered the living room. Waddles ran towards me and almost toppled me. I patted his head and began doing the routine I made up yesterday. Feed Waddles. Play with Waddles. Feed Waddles. Play with Waddles. It was a never-ending cycle.
[HOLDER FOR RANDOM SH8T SCENE]
"Waddles stay still. I need to get the pit out of your ear!" Water splashed everywhere as I tried to clean Waddles. I had laid a towel on the floor so the water that slushed over the sides.
[ANOTHER HOLDER FUCKING GREAT]
I walked down the stairs with Waddles squirming in my arms. Dipper was opening the door, when I saw the entryway come into view. A girl with a purple, polka-dotted scarf over her blonde hair stood in the entrance. Something made me stop and a surprising shyness took over me. She was stunning and made me extremely self conscious all of a sudden. I ended up back up a few steps before the both of them could see me and took a seat on the stairs. They were out of view but I peaked my head over the side to get a look.
"What took you so long to get to the door? You know I hate being seen here," said the blonde, trying to swat mosquitoes away from her face.
"It's nice to see you too, Pacifica." Dipper deadpanned.
"I'm trying to warm up to the idea of being seen with civilians, okay? Give me some time, it's a big transition for me," the blonde--Pacifica--pouted.
"Okay, okay. What are you even doing here?"
"Well, you're back from Piedmont. Of course I was gonna come say hi! And I still kinda owe you from the whole mansion incident."
"You don't owe me anything, Pacifica. Besides it was forever ago," Dipper clarified while he adjusted his hat.
"Yes, I do. Besides we kinda left things unattended to." I had no clue what "things" meant, but it made my stomach twist awkwardly.
Dipper raised an eyebrow, "What things? I mean... if it's what I'm thinking about--" he blushed and the knot in my stomach grew tighter. Ripping my gaze away from the two, I dropped Waddles. Of course, I was still sitting down--my legs would probably not work even if I wanted to--so Waddles didn't make much of a thud onto the stair below.
Composing myself I looked back towards Dipper and Pacifica. Both of them were blushing madly. I tried to push down a sound of disgust that was trying to rip free from my throat. Again, I stopped looking at them and stared at the wall, biting my finger.
When I looked back, they somehow both ended up kissing each other. Yes, mouth-on-mouth. Bile was rising in my throat and I could not ignore the pain in my stomach (and maybe my own heart) any longer. While I was caught up with myself, I hadn't noticed Waddles was making his way down the staircase. It made me realize why I was really there. I was suppose to be watching this pig, not hanging out with Dipper and trying to figure out if I liked him or not.
"Waddles get back here!" I whispered furiously. The pig stopped and looked at my innocently. He then turned around and proceeded. Traitor.
My legs and brain protested but I ended up going after Waddles. It was ultimately excruciating. I tired my best to go quietly down the stairs, and leave Dipper and Pacifica's little moment alone. My plan was then ruined by the traitor, Waddles. The darn pig had to go and run into Dipper's leg. He pulled away from Pacifica and looked down at Waddles. Then up at me.
Mortified. I was mortified. I could feel my face burn as if the sun was making a personal trip to my face.
"Oh... um... Can I pay you to pretend you didn't see that?" Pacifica rummaged through her purple purse and extended her hand toward me with a $100 bucks in her hand. I try to meet her gaze to ask her silently if she was serious, but she refused to look me in the eye. As much as I didn't want to, I look at Dipper, his face is bright red but I can't tell what he's thinking (and maybe I don't want to know).
"See what?" I laugh awkwardly as I snatch the bill from her hand. "I'm just here to babysit Waddles. Don't mind me!"
I try to pick up the traitor, but fail--my arms feeling like jelly. Instead, I beckon Waddles towards the room to leave them alone.
