"Are you ready for the big test?!" Bea chirped, quite loudly.
"No." I deadpanned.
She pouted.
"Did you at least study?" She asked in her motherly tone.
"Yes, mom." I said sarcastically. Today is the day. The day I dreaded most of the whole year. Testing day. It's not that I don't like testing, it that I never study, but always somehow manage, to get an A. But this year would be different, I knew I was going to fail my math test, I knew because I have no idea what's going on math a year. Now, I would probably do just fine in all the other subjects, but not math. So, I need a plan. I need a plan so ingenious that it will work. I need to find a way to get out of my math test. I mean I could pretend to be sick... Or have a headache, but my parents thair that stuff way too seriously. No joke. One time my younger brother was complaining about his ear hurting, and they had him at the hospital in six minutes flat. They take that stuff very, very seriously. So, that could be a last resort kind of plan. But I needed a plan that would not worry my parents into a coma. Maybe I could pull the fire alarms.
"Or maybe you could just take the test." Shoot. I said that out loud, didn't I.
"Octavia, seriously. Why can't you just take the test. If you fail, you fail. But gosh darn it, do go pulling the fire alarms!" Bea chided me. I rolled my eyes. So, I guess pulling the fire alarms was out. I need to think of a new plan, and fast. I only have two classes before math.
"C'mon," Bea threw her arm around me as the bell rang. " Lets go test!" She chirped. Great. Just wonderful.
