I had never thought I'd have someone special again. Not after what happened to... Isabel and Farlan... I know what your thinking. I shouldn't blame myself over their deaths... Of course I'm going to blame myself. If I hadn't been selfish and tried to go off alone to kill Erwin, their deaths would have never happened. For a long period of time, after their deaths, of what seemed like my family, I met... Eren. At first I was shocked as of how clumsy he could be.
Had no visible skills. A complete mess... But then. I saw the determination in his eyes. He, a meer teenager, had the mental strength and pride to keep himself going. He even surpassed me. Of course he didn't realize it. That made me jealous. Envious even. That was when. I had the urge to raise him. I saw myself in him. Eren and I. Somehow, in the blink of an eye... He grew up before me.
