Hey! I wanted to interject my own character into this story cause I wanted it. <=that's the only reason why. I used the actress Summer Glau cause she's awesome and looks like a goddess who can fight. I'm also using one of her character names from the T.V. show called Alphas. That is also a good show! So the girls name is Skylar Adams. She pops into season 2 cause I thought there were to many character changes in season 1, thought season 2 would be better. She's gonna pop in during the middle of 'An Unjust Death' because I also think that would be best. And if you're still reading this authors note then you might want to jump down and start reading. Come on! Go!! Read!

PS I'll have descriptions of the characters spoiler free at the bottom, so if you get confused with something and you've never seen the T.V. shows then you can just look at that.

***Skylar Adams***

It had been a while since I had seen daylight. Sure, I saw it on the way into the prison, but they've kept me locked up in isolation for so long. I had almost forgotten what it felt like on my skin. Warm and full of life. I breathed in the fresh air but was greeted by a blow to the stomach because I wasn't paying attention. I glared at the guard.

"Hurry it up." She spat. I don't belong here. I should have never taken that job. The guard shoved me into the van where I would be transferred to somewhere else. Hell, I don't even know where I am now. I'm at full alert because of this transfer. Usually people would be happy to go to a lower max. prison but this didn't sit well with me. For the things I did, I should still be in my little room not getting out sooner.

There were two other guards with me, one beside me and one in front of me.

"Now if you try to run or anything," The one in front of me started to say, but I knew exactly what happens.

"Yes, I know." I said properly. "I will go back into my room with a longer sentence." The man nodded at me and hit the side of the van to let the driver know everything was clear and they could hit the rode. I exhaled and leaned forward, the guard beside me pulled on my forearm so I couldn't go any further. "I'm just asking a question." I rolled my eyes. "Sir, why am I being transferred? I never made a request and I'm sure no one in my family made the request."

"I don't know why, I just make the transfer." He said. I shrugged my shoulders and leaned back, enjoying the ride while it lasted.

***That Morning***

"Eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, toast." Chief Inspector Craig Renner told the waitress handing her his menu.

"Egg white omelet, spinach, no oil please." Charlie also said, handing the menu over as well.

"Heart smart breakfast." Craig said. "I like it. That was a concern with the guys at HQ. Is Duchamp up to the task?"

Charlie smiled and shook his head. "Inspector, I'd be happy to take any one of those 44 inch waist desk monkeys to the guy with me." They began to unfold the napkins and place them in their laps. "We'll see who drops first."

"That's why you're perfect for the promotion." Craig said. "Whoever the new Chief of Domestic Investigation is, he's gonna have to deal with a lot of bureaucratic shit heads who need to be challenged." Charlie looked a little confused at this.

"Whoever? I thought I was the front runner." He asked, concerned at what the Inspector said.

"Ok, umm." Craig started. "I'm not supposed to say this, but, this big wigs have you at USMS headquarters have verbally signed off on you gettin' the job." Charlie smiled. "Just needs to go through the standard approval process. Formality."
