Hey peeps! It's been a year and a little more since I thrown in the towel on this book. After a long thought, I think you all deserved to know how this book I had planned for it to end despite maybe you all had imagined how you want it to end (which is great, btw). Without further ado, this the the ending I planned initially.
Today marked the day I begin a new chapter in life. Walking through the airport, I realized that all I had been through and all I had done amounted to more than what I could dream of. Becoming an aspiring dancer and choreographer I always dreamed about, I was on my way with a group of 4 other dancers I had befriended over the last few months to New York City to be filming a music video and also choreograph for another artist.
Looking back at all the good, the bad, and the odds, I really felt okay and wouldn't have had it any other way if it meant reaching my full potential and learning more about myself - flaws and all.
"Don't tell me you're leaving without saying goodbye to us, missy!"
I turned around to that familiar sass of Bellette to see every member of All-Star Spark standing a distance from me. After informing one of dancers in my group to go ahead first, I walked over to the group with a smile I couldn't fight off my face.
"How did you guys -" I was stunned to see all of them here, including Irisa and Trent of whom I had some rough time with for respective reasons.
"We got your sis to tell us about it," Bryce coolly cut me off. "And we all decided to skip school for you, so you better appreciate this moment, woman." Evie told me with a scowl on her face but the smile on her face told me she was okay with it.
Ever since I graduated with Trent, my 2 besties Yuri and Bellette, Bryce, Fenton, and Cindy, the rest of them upgraded to become the seniors of the dance club whilst passing the leadership to Evie and Ryder as co-leaders to take over All-Star Spark.
"Oh, guys... please don't make me cry now!" I was being emotional easily lately and tears was about to flood my eyes when they all just aw-ed at me and gave me a group hug. A huge one too.
All of them crowded me over as we walked talked all the way to the gate where it will be my check-in and also our last parting till the next time when I returned.
"Hey, Haely, can we talk? Just the 2 of us?" Trent asked quietly to me as the others oo-ed at us.
Rolling my eyes at them while whacking Fenton's arm (since he started the whole thing first), I went a little away from the group and Trent followed from behind.
Turning back to him, I looked into his eyes confidently after so long from a break up with him. After all that we had from being friends to enemies, and back to friends, and then growing into something more, and then falling back into just being friends after a break up, I think we both can safely say that we were definitely soulmates on the dance floor but greatest of friends in the relationship.
"You were saying, Trent?" I softly smiled at the guy who made me and broke me all the same. His eyes which will always be my comfort and his hair tousled carelessly like always.
"I'm really sorry for everything, Haely. I just," He seem to struggle with getting out his thoughts for a while which was amusing for me. "I just hoped that you had better. After all that I done to you, I could never really forgive myself."
"I think you should forgive yourself even if you think you had done the worst to me, which I don't think you did," I told him while grabbing his calloused hand. "At least give yourself some time to heal. Clearly you aren't over it yet. I mean, look over there."
Both of us turned to look at the group which I can call my family just messing around each other, laughing and wide smiles on their worries, as if there was not a worry on their minds.
"You've got them too to help you and walk with you through this life, even if it's just a short while." Now I turned my attention back to him and he turned his doubt-filled eyes onto me.
"You will be okay soon. I mean, hey, look at where I am now!" I smiled and said it with a double meaning.
He smiled that smile that used to erupt butterflies in me which now is just a serene feeling that I know that he was feeling okay in the first few steps to full emotional recovery.
"I'm gonna miss you like more than I should, but enough," He stuttered while rubbing his thumb mindlessly over my knuckles. "Does that make sense?"
I just giggled and nodded at his awkwardness while pulling him into a tight hug. "I'll miss you too, more than you know."
Pulling away at the sound of the announcement for my flight, I ruffled his hair for fun one more time and got him smiling widely. "Now, that's the Trent I remember the most."
Joining the group, I hugged them all one by one, all with respective ways of hugging back. When I last came to Irisa, I whispered into her ear only for her to know. "I forgive you. And watch over them for me."
As odd as it was, she and I had similarities when it came to discipline and envisioning for the best. Thus, I entrusted her with my other family.
Feeling her nod, I pulled away and we just smiled in response.
Grabbing my bag from the floor, I went towards the gate and the passed my passport and ticket to the security to check before entering. Braving a last look at them, I waved goodbye to All Star Spark and them waving back as enthusiastically as possible, while some just started to tear up.
With all that we are and everything that we will be, I know we were more than just a spark. We were the beginning of a lot of new things we have yet to know. And that was really okay.
And now I walked into the future, where another spark is waiting to be ignited.
~THE END~
