Song of Hope and Despair

Elfnein pulled up the live Queens of Music concert on the screen at S.O.N.G. in a hurry. After the reports of the very first Gungnir girl, they were in high alert. All of S.O.N.G. went silent as the cameras focused in on Amou Kanade.

Genjuro shook off the shock and focused on figuring out what was happening. "Fujitaka, scan for Afuwahelsagen wavelengths!"

The green haired man nodded and started scanning the concert hall from the new S.O.N.G. satellite, used to keep track of Noise and Symphogear patterns. "Scan complete!" He said.

The word "GUNGNIR" appeared on the screen.

"Gungnir-dato...?" Genjuro muttered.

Back at Chris's room, Hibiki stared at the TV. "Kanade-san... That's..."

Kanade summoned her spear and looked at Tsubasa and Maria. "The spear that can pierce anything, the Gungnir!"

Maria stood, staring at Kanade. She couldn't shake the horrible feeling she had about this. This isn't really Kanade Amou, is it?

Tsubasa took a step toward Kanade, but the red haired woman glared and and pointed her spear at Tsubasa. "Kanade?" Tsubasa asked. Her voice seemed to be higher, almost more innocent.

Kanade's glare became more cruel. "That's right." She said. "My name is Kanade. But how do you know me?"

Tsubasa stepped toward Kanade again. "What are you talking about Kanade? It's me! It's Tsubasa!" Kanade's expression became more questioning as Tsubasa continued. "I told you it wanted to sing with you forever!"

"Why would I listen to something as silly as that?" Kanade asked.

"Because we were Zwei Wing! The two wings that could stretch across the world!" Tsubasa yelled, tears bringing to fall from her eyes.

Maria looked at Tsubasa's hurt face. It began to infuriate her, how the person Tsubasa cared about so much was being used to hurt her. Maria walked toward Kanade angrily. Kanade turned her spear to her, trying to threaten her not to come any closer. But she did. Maria grabbed Kanade so fast Kanade couldn't attack her.

"No!" Tsubasa yelled. "Imyuteus Ame no Habakiri Tron..." She sang and transformed, running up and pushing Maria down, only to have Kanade push her to the side as well. Tsubasa fell to the ground and froze, tears falling from her eyes. "Kanade..." Tsubasa whispered. Before she closed her eyes. "If I can't get through to you by talking... I will by singing!"

Tsubasa stood up quickly and glared at Kanade. She reached up to her relic and yelled. "Ignite Module, Bakken!"

The Gear users all stared in shock from Chris's room. "Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki yelled.
