Sakura POV
I looked around at my surroundings, Naruto and Hinata shyly looking at each other and Tenten dragging Neji over to the sweets table.Wheres my prince charming?As cheesy as it sounds we all dreamt of one-The handsome tall with perfect features that rescued you whenever you were in danger or even when you were sad.I noticed myself feeling weak again."Hey...alone too are you?"
I looked up and saw Shikamaru lazily standing with his hands in his pockets.I smiled at him and realisation hit me. "You're dateless too!" I laughed loudly.It was the end of prom, most of the students went home and only few carried on chatting. "Yea,I wonder if Inos okay." He said.
"C'mon I'm gonna ask Kakashi senpai which hospital shes in coz Lady Tsunade looks pretty drunk!" I suggested as tsunade danced around with a sake bottle in her both hands.We walked over to the teachers and asked which hospital she was in. "Konohaspital Sakura." We said our thanks and walked towards the school exit gate. "Oh mahn! My ride left me!" I said annoyed and exhausted.Shikamaru laughed softly and offered to take me.
"Turn left here." I instructed to Shikamaru.He stopped the car infront of a huge hospital.He unlocked my door and I jumped out.We walked up to reception slowly as I was still in my dress and heels-classy I know! -_- ."Hello we're here to see Miss Yamanaka Ino." Shikamaru said to the lady behind the large desk."Im sorry sir but all visits are only allowed from 7pm to 8pm at night."
I looked at my watch and it read
18.46(6.46pm) "Okay thanks for your help."Shikamaru turned around and looked at me and shrugged his shoulders."We've got fourteen minutes left till we can go in" I informed him.We took a seat in the waiting room and me being the fidgety person I am went down to the cafě.I looked at the menue signs it was all very bright and colorful you'd never have guessed it was inside a dreary hospital. "Erm can I have one coca cola and one lemon twist please." I said to the man serving me.He handed me my cooldrinks and receipt. I walked back to the waiting room and I received many stares from people most probably thinking
Why the hell is she dressed like that or wow she really overdresses even to a hospital!.
I gave Shikamaru his beverage and sat down next to him. "Why god Why!!!" A scream from an old lady scattered my thoughts as I instantly looked to where the noise had come from. "Is this a dream! Tell me Markous will wake up!!" I looked at the lady with a tear stained face as she shrieked coming out of the hospital.It didn't take a rocket scientist to realise what had happened, that lady lost someone dear to her....
"Sakura! C'mon lets go.Visiting time is opened."Shikamaru called standing up.I nodded and walked with him towards the reception AGAIN.We signed the necessary stuff and knocked softly on the door. "Come in."We heard Ino call faintly. I pushed the door opened and saw Ino on the hospital bed with a cast and huge bandage around her leg.
"Ino oh my gawd are you okay!" I shouted shoving Shikamaru out of the way. "Yeah yeah im okay." She said."Ino do you need anything?"Shikamaru asked concerned.She shook her head and I took the moment to talk."Ino you wont believe h-" my sentence was cut off by a knock on the door.Slowly the knob turned and a familiar blonde stepped in."Oh hello Mrs Yamanaka, Ino I'll tell you later! Bye I'll see you tomorrow." I bowed and walked off not wanting to be the odd one out between Ino n her parents.Shikamaru followed behind me and then I saw a unique raven head.Sasuke...what was he doing here? I ran forward ignoring Shikamarus 'slow downs'. "Sasuke?"I called out first into space just incase it wasn't him.
He turned his head looking for where the voice was coming from.I walked towards him and what I saw made my heart melt.
Sasuke was...crying?
