"I'll stay awake, because the dark isn't taking prisoners tonight."

--My ex-girlfriend, Anya, got me obsessed with this stupid horror series. It's about these two badass zombie killers and their kids, or whatever. It's called "Bloodlight." It took two weeks for me to blow through 8 seasons. After me and Anya broke up, I stopped watching it and another season or so passed. Word went around and I heard a convention was going on for Bloodlight, and it sounded interesting hearing people talk about it all over again. It took me a week to catch up to the newest episode, and I decided I should go to the damned convention. I called my friend, Tyler, over to ask if he wanted to go with me. Tyler's huge with Bloodlight, and he gladly accepted to go with me Saturday night. If we could afford it. It was quite expensive.
I went to bed after watching the new episode of Bloodlight, and woke up the next morning, oddly tired. I got up, got dressed in some decent clothes and walked to the corner of my block to the coffee shop and bakery. I grabbed a bagel and a coffee, sitting down where I usually sat. After a few sips of coffee, I could see straight and think clearly, no longer tired. I glanced around the chair to see Anya at the table with some other girl already. I sighed and ate my bagel, getting up to leave when I was done.
I began my walk out the door, as Anya stopped me. "Hey, Aryl. I know you still probably hate me, but, I just wanted to ask if you still liked Bloodlight." I sighed and walked around her. "Wait, Aryl. I need to ask you if you wanted to go to that convention--"
"Anya, I'm not going with you." I cut her off.
"I wasn't asking to go with you. I was offering to give you two tickets since me and my girlfriend can't go." She explained.
My eyes lit up. "You have tickets?" Anya nodded and dug in her purse. "Here." She said, handing me two tickets to the convention.
"Anya, thank you so much." I nodded, smiling. Anya smiled and waved, as I exited.

"Aryl, I can't wait to meet Nathan and Carol!" Tyler screamed next to me on the line to get int he convention. I widened my eyes. "Meet?! Meet the Carol Dixon and Nathan Waters?! Is that why the tickets were $400?!" Tyler face palmed. "God, Aryl. You're an idiot. Have you never been to a Bloodlight convention?!" I shook my head. We were next in line. We gave the man our tickets and walked inside the big building.
"First things first in the convention, we go get zombie makeup done by professionals. Then, we go to the green screen room and shoot a cool thing, also done by professionals. Then we watch the movie we shot, which is about a minute long with special effects, with Carol and Nathan. They give us an autograph, and we leave the experience hall. Then we go explore the rest of the convention." Tyler told me.
I smiled and walked towards the first room. The makeup room. Two women stood in the room and had us sit in these comfortable chairs while they did our makeup. It took roughly an hour to get everything done, then we headed to the second room to shoot.
In our movie, we had the background as a picture of an old barren version of New York with other zombies roaming around us while we walked closer to the camera until special effects had up lit on fire. That took us about 10 minutes, because Tyler kept making me laugh while we filmed.
We walked to the final room, which held the presence of my two favorite actors, Carol Dixon and Nathan Waters, still wearing our makeup.
We left the dark green screen room and opened the door which had been filled with light and five chairs facing a large television. Our eyes adjusted to the light as we saw the faces of Carol and Nathan.
"Oh my god..." I whispered in a breathe and Tyler chuckled, dragging me to the chair next to Carol. "Let's see how you filmed this!" Carol smiled.
