Iwaizumi hajime sat on the worn wooden porch of his family's beach house, pondering.

He was hardly someone to ponder, but something strange had been happening to him.

Lately, he had been having an odd dream. After he fell asleep each night, he would open his eyes and find himself in a vast field, filled with flowers blooming in all different colors and the scent of crisp, mountain air on the wind. He would sit in the grass and lay back, relaxing in the late afternoon noon sun, but he was always interrupted.

"Looks like you came again." The boy would always say, seeming to emerge from the field itself and appear before him.

He looked to be about 18 years old (around iwaizumi's own age) and had wispy, brown hair, shining eyes with a sly glint about them, and a sparkling smile with a laugh that rolled off the ears and seemed to echo around Iwa every time he heard it.

He had been having this dream for about a month now, and by now had befriended the boy, who seemed to enjoy his visits, saying "no one ever comes to see me anymore."

This always made Iwa sad (though it never showed on his face), who wouldn't want to see a radiant face like his? To hear an overjoyed laugh as refreshing to the soul as his?

Iwa got up from his seat on the porch and strolled along the beach, kicking sand about as he walked along the waves.

The sun was just at the peak in the sky when it was about to set and it reminded him greatly of the field in his dream.

Lately he couldn't get the beautiful meadow, or the beautiful boy, out of his head.

He halted suddenly, the water pooling over his bare feet, before washing back.

Why did he feel this way? Why's did his heart squeeze every time he was reminded of the boy? Why did his stomach flutter when he heard his laugh, which warmed him right down to his toes. Had he possibly developed feelings for a figment of his imagination that didn't even exist? Iwa sighed, a common trait of his, and started his trek back to the house.

The sun was just starting to set now, and on his way back, something caught his eye in the sand. The sharp flash of a bright glare near the water was slightly blinding him in the evening sun. Intrigued, he went to pick it up.

It was a piece of seaglass.

Immediately, Iwa was once again reminded of the boy.

The shining glass was the exact same color of his copper hair, waving about in the wind as he ran among the flowers, laughing and shouting for "Iwa-chan" as he called him, to join him in his endeavors. The sparkle in the glass reminded Iwa greatly of the boys eyes. The shine of the glass, however, paled in comparison to the boy himself.

Iwa had once racked his brain for hours, trying to string together words to describe the boys eyes.

None had come to mind.

They were incomparable.

Iwa pocketed the glass, keeping it to always remind him of the boy. What was his name again? He had only heard It once or twice since the boy seemed much more interested in Iwa than himself.

Iwa suddenly smiled to himself upon remembering.

Oh yeah, it was,...

Oikawa.
