FLASHBACK: My cold cheeks were beginning to turn reddish pink in the snow. My scarf was wrapped around my face, with only enough room for my eyes to see the white swirling winds I was trapped in. My parka was dotted with tiny snowflakes. I gently brushed them off with my gloved hand. As the wind died down, I saw that I was in a forest, covered in blackened trees with icicles jutting down from their bare branches. A tree had fallen over, and was covered in a blanket of ice. I had absolutely no idea where I was standing, or how I had gotten there. All I knew was that I was a girl, with black straight locks, a pale complexion, and ice blue eyes. I was 15. I don't know how I knew, but I was 15. I didn't think I was getting anywhere with my search to find answers. After all, I could barely walk with 3 feet of snow slowing me down. I struggled to lift my foot and was about to set it down when a snapping twig turned my attention to the woods behind me. I didn't care if the snow was too thick. I trudged as fast as I could, which was pretty slow, and spotted a huge cabin about 100 feet away from me. That was why I needed to survive. It must have answers. I didn't even know my own name.
As soon as I had gotten to the door of the cabin, I was tired and was about to lay down and freeze in the snow when the door opened. A boot kicked away the snow so the door could actually open. It was a man, about thirty, with a parka and a woolen hat.
"Hi. I'm lost and I think I have amnesia. I can't remember my own name," I said, hoping the man would let me inside."Please let me in for tea. If you have any." I shivered, waiting for an answer, but the man just grunted and stretched his arm, pointing to the outside. I darted in and took of my gloves. My palms had markings on them. The first looked like a word. Save. The second was the numbers 2/6/3. I held out my palm and the man examinrd them.
He stared and stared until he looked like his eyes could burn right through my hand.
"What are these?" he asked. I was about to answer when a creak and a sound that sounded like a footstep rang from the celing.
