Part 5: Covered in Clouds

Gabriel POV:

Ok good. I made it onto the plane. I hope Brooklyn is ok. She seem devastated that I left. I kinda felt sorry for her, I mean, she has other friends than just me right? It was like her puppy died. I know we're best friends and all but it seemed a bit overdramatic. Some girls are like that I guess.

I leaned over to look out the airplane window as we started to take off. The higher we got into the sky, the more ground there was beneath us. Somewhere down there, Brooklyn is probably starting to calm down..and I kinda feel bad that I left her alone. She can take care of herself though. She's a stronger girl than she thinks she is.

I bought some wifi on the plane so I could text some people and scroll through Twitter. Right when my phone had connected a message popped up on my screen.

"Hey! I hope you made it safely onto your flight back home! I can't wait till you get here☺️"

It was Kaylee.

Kaylee is my crush. She has been since high school. I mean I'm in college now, and I still haven't made any moves.

"Uh yeah thanks," I replied "I'm on the plane and I paid for some wifi so I can iMessage you and get on Twitter haha. Can't wait to see you either!"

There. Send.

That wasn't too forward was it? Oh boy. Wait, she put and emoji and I didn't! That doesn't matter does it. I'm losing it.

I looked out my window to see that we were soaring above the fluffy white clouds in the sky. It's beautiful up here.

My phone buzzed again. Although it wasn't Kaylee. It was Brooklyn.

"Hey! Sorry I got so emotional, I just can't stand the thought of someone leaving me or replacing and I'm scared to lose my best friend."

"Look you're not going to lose me ok?" I replied, "Never."

"Ok good. Have fun going back to college lol"

"I will."

Ok so she's sad. I get that. To think she'll ever lose me as a friend is ridiculous. We get along too well together. She'll never be replaced.

*bzzz* Oh another text. This time from Kaylee.

"When you get back you wanna grab a pizza or something maybe you can tell me how LA was?"

I'm in.

"Yeah sure that sounds like a great idea. I'll be flying in soon."

Ok this is it. This is probably the time I can make my move..who knows what will happen. I mean I just want to be a good boyfriend to someone...Kaylee is the one I want to be there for.

I've never even dated before and I'm in college. That's so sad. I'm so tired. College had me tired, life has me tired. I'm glad I get to go back and hang out with my friends.

I can't believe I'm actually getting through college to be honest...

{Ok a bit boring of a chapter...but you have to get through the boring ones in order to have some fun exciting ones...right??😂 I'm on break now so I'll be updating a lot :) - Cass}
