Chapter 1

Sophomore year was amazing at the beginning of the year. I was the popular girl. Everyone wanted to be my friend. Regularly, the popular girl is a bitch and does rude things such as only being nice to people to their face but then talks crap about them behind their back and spreads awful rumors about them to everyone. Me on the other hand, I was the nice popular girl. I got good grades, all my teachers loved me, I'd help people if they ever needed anything, and I was true to being a friend. In return, I got a lot of respect at school which made school really fun to go to.
As time went on though, someone new came to the school. Henry Roberts. Everyone was scared of him since the day he walked in to school. He wore all black leather, combed his hair back with a bunch of grease in it, and pretty much looked like someone from Grease but a lot scarier. He bullied people over the few months. People tried to dodge him so they wouldn't get under his bad list. But some people don't get the chance. He would just call them out and start bullying them for no reason. I'm a victim of this.
One day I was walking with my two friends, Payson and Sophia, when Henry the big bad wolf, as everyone would call him, came up to us. He started calling me names like whore, bitch, ugly, fat. Words I never heard from people's mouth come towards me. I was never bullied as a kid. So this was my first time ever being encountered by a bully. And it was terrifying. The only thing I knew how to do when with someone who's being mean is to respond with kindness. "Calling me those names won't break me down. I'm stronger than you think. I have to go to class now." Me, Payson, and Sophia walked behind him and left him there standing in the hallway.
"That was amazing Kelsey!" Payson said. Oh by the way, my name is Kelsey! "Yeah, how were you so calm about that?" Sophia asked. "You can't be mean to him in return. That's just being as bad as him. You have to beat him with kindness and he won't have anything to say." I felt as if I was teaching them a life lesson. I thought everyone would know that.
The bell rang to go to 4th period. We got inside, sat down, and took out our stuff for that class. There was no one sitting next to me since my friend Georgina left Westwood High and moved to Florida. Which meant there was a new student. I was looking down at my paper when the new student came in. I looked up and saw the most cutest guy I had ever seen in my life! All the girls were staring at him. As I thought life wouldn't get better looking at him, he got seated right next to me. Oh shit!
