Dead as night

Hearing the simple slam of a car door i wake up and look around.  I look out the window at the right time to see my so called "father" try and sneak into the house.  I let it slide for now until I can get mom to believe me.  I lay down again filled with anger and frustration.  I know where he went, he went out with another woman.  I cant bare just laying here and holding this anger in I run downstairs and meet my dad at the door and wore my violet glowing rose around my neck.  he looked at me with questioning eyes "What the heck are you doing out here this late!?"  grabbed his shirt and pinned him to the wall.  "You know why I'm out here!" I pull him back then slam him against the wall.  "Quit cheating on my mom!!!" I punched him in the face, grabbed my pocket knife and held it to his throat.  "Is this what you want me to do?!  Cause this is what you are doing to my mom!!" he laughed like it was a joke.  I slid the knife across his throat to show him it wasn't a joke and he looked at me with wide eyes.  "If you do this again you will be as dead as the night."  I slammed him against the wall again and walked upstairs.

I woke up the next morning and walked out of my door and down the stairs to see my father hanging from the ceiling.  There was a note on his chest that said "Kristall I have done you wrong and I am sorry I don't want to hurt you anymore so I have let this life go as someone said 'everyone dies so why fight it' and I'm not I deserve this for cheating I am so sorry.".  I smirk and run to mom faking a panic "M-mom i-it's dad!" she was crying "I hated him so much but I cared." I look at her and hug her she hugged back and bawled.  "I called the police and they will be here to take him to be buried." She said in between sobs.  I left the room looked at my dad then walked to my room.  There was a note on my door it said "you finally got what you wished for me to be 'dead as night' i hope you can sleep at night".  I smiled "I can sleep soundly now."
