Hoover Dam, the key to the Mojave Wasteland was hanging in the balance. The NCR, an army of worn soldiers lead by a democratic congress, had gotten to it first, but soon others joined in the fray. Caesar’s Legion, the conquest of over 80 tribes discovered the Dam as well, venturing from the Eastern side of the Colorado River. The self appointed leader of New Vegas, Mr. House, also decided to throw his weight around in the ring. He even brought in a special device, the Platinum Chip; that would allow him to raise a long forgotten army he had built to retake the land he spent ages preparing for the future.
The courier who was assigned to transport the package, Ulysses had backed out of the job, and went to live in the Divide, for however long it lasted. The job fell upon the shoulders of a single courier, the new courier six. Jane Frost.
While traveling through a settlement known as Goodsprings, she was nearly at her destination. Unfortunately, Benny, Mr. House’s lieutenant, had another idea, and captured Jane to steal the Chip, raise the army as his own, and defy Mr. House, the Legion, and the NCR. After securing what he wanted, he shot her in the head, and buried her. Through the help of one of Mr. House’s robots and a local doctor, she was revived, and started the long trek to get revenge. She got it, and after killing Benny, and finding the Chip, turned down Mr. House’s offer of Benny’s role. Killing him, she turned to the NCR to help banish the slaver Legion from the Mojave once and for all. After dealing with loose ends, she helped the NCR in the Battle of Hoover Dam, and decided the fate of all those she had come across in her original journey for revenge.

The wind blew across the land, the echo of gunfire and righteous war cries soon died out. The Second Battle of Hoover Dam was over. Legate Lanius was dead, the Legion was in full retreat, and the NCR had total control of the Mojave Wasteland.
The catalyst of the battle, Jane Frost, the courier who rose from the dead in Goodspring’s graveyard, who had sought vengeance, stood over the dam. Her job was done, it seemed. Her band of brave warriors departed soon after. Lily Bowen returned to Jacobstown, continuing to take her medication in half doses, and kept the wonderful memories of her grandchildren. Arcade Gannon returned to NCR territory, where he chose to follow a different path than his Enclave heritage, and said he would become a schoolteacher, hopefully. Cass hadn’t had enough of the caravan life, and returned to brave the trails, always staying in contact she promised. Rex returned to the King, and remained there, panting happily, now with Rey’s brain implanted. Raul, reinvigorated to return to his vigilante ways, decided to stay in Vegas, keeping an eye out for the little guys. Now all that remained was Boone, ED-E, Veronica, and Jane. The last of the group, they stared at each other, not quite sure what to say. They all knew this was the end of their journey; they just didn’t want to admit it.
“So,” Veronica started, but it became little more than a whisper.
“It’s been a good fight, huh?” Boone threw in. Jane and Veronica nodded. “I should be heading back to Novac. Vargas won’t be nearly as effective if I’m not there to help.”
“Yeah, and the Brotherhood still need me to get supplies, so I should be heading off too.”
“Are you going to keep that? ED-E I mean. That little thing sure is handy; it could really help in Novac. I know for sure that you can handle yourself… Alone.” They all looked down.
“This is it.” Veronica finally stated. “It’s been fun and… Educational, in a way. Between all the running and gunning.”
“That was the good part.” Boone cut in.
“What about the punching?” Veronica retorted, and they fell silent. She looked at her power fist, that had killed many, many people.
“Yeah, the punching was good too.” Boone admitted.
“I’ll… I’ll get going.” Jane concluded. “Maybe visit the Divide one more time.”
“That place isn’t good for you, Jane. Ever since you went there…” Veronica looked to Boone for help, but he said nothing. “… You haven’t been the same.” The courier nodded in agreement.
“You’re right, but I…” They were interrupted by General Oliver himself, who looked like he just had the best day of his life, which he probably did.
“Are you three planning on leaving?” He inquired.
“We were, but is there something we should know?” Jane answered, begging for something to keep the last of the gang together.
“Well, we appreciate your assistance with the battle. I mean, we couldn’t have won without you, but there still is one thing that went unanswered.” He looked across the Colorado River. “Caesar wasn’t a confirmed kill in the battle, and we believe he is retreating with his Legion. We were hoping to gather a team to track him, but in his territory, that’d be suicide.”
The three looked at each other, and after receiving nods from both Boone and Veronica, and a chirp from ED-E, Jane quickly answered.
“Lucky for you, suicide is just what we do.”
