The four gathered on a tired looking boat, marked with the two-headed bear of the NCR. They loaded all their gear and were ready to set sail to hunt down Caesar. Going on the mission was Colonel Moore, who would help direct them in the NCR’s interests.

General Oliver stood beside Jane as she stood on top of the visitor’s center. He seemed fidgety, almost anxious.

“Again, Ms. Frost, I have to say thank you again for your actions involving the Dam’s defense, and I appreciate you volunteering for this suicide mission. We need to get this bastard.” Jane thought for a moment, remembering what she had learned about Caesar in her travels. All the comments Boone, Cass, and Veronica had said. She finally met the man himself when she infiltrated Fortification Hill to destroy Mr. House’s army, hidden under Caesar’s own fort.

“No offense sir, but Caesar’s death won’t be that much of a blow to the Legion. It would bring down their moral and raise ours, but they have such a complex succession system, it’s kind of pointless.”

General Oliver gulped, and shifted his feet.

“This… This may seem selfish, but…” Oliver paused, and his eyes glittered for a moment. “I had a son stationed here only a couple of hours ago. He was positioned on the left side of the Dam. He was one of the first to die today.”

         “I’m sorry, general.”

         “Again, I appreciate your support.”

He turned to give her a firm handshake.

“Good luck on your five man mission, Frost. Give those animals hell”

Jane stood on the dock of the newly conquered Cotton Wood Cove, a heavily secured Legion Base. She gazed at the calm waters, and wondered how long they would stay so majestic. Her thoughts were interrupted by a very familiar voice.

Jane turned around to see two very close friends: Raul and Cass.

“Hey, what are you two doing here? Coming to see me off?”

“That would be the plan, just wanted to make sure you didn’t get yourself killed.” Cass joked. “Because if I know you, you can’t keep your head down for a moment.”

“Yeah boss. In all my years, which there have sure as hell been a lot of, I’ve never seen someone as ambitious as you about getting shot.”

“Raul, I thought you’d be on killing some villainous maggot by now, why are you still with Cass.”

“Boss, maybe you don’t know this, but I’m old. I was planning to trek around with Cass here to get around and spread some lead, but I guess walking from place to place without any back up through either Viper, Fiend, or Deathclaw infested territory is just as efficient.”

“See you haven’t changed much, Raul.” Jane chuckled.

“Old habits are hard to break, and being sarcastic is too much fun.”

“So you’re going to go after Caesar, give him a piece of our minds, and maybe make his head into pieces.” Cass cut in. “We’ll miss you, you know. It won’t be the same.”

“Right back at you.” Jane smiled. “Tell Lily and Arcade that I said hi.”

“I’ll tell Lily, but Arcade already left for NCR territory.” All three looked down solemnly.
