Sole POV
I woke and nearly sneezed. "Ernie!get your stupid cat off my face!"I yell, spitting out cat hair. Ernie sits up and looks at me, then grabs his cat. "Sorry Sole, you know Jumper likes you hair"he jokes, and I glare at him as I sit up. Felling my hair, I laugh "you're right, maybe that's why I found a cat claw in my hair yesterday morning".
Yawning, I dress. "Amazing that we happened to start school on a Friday, now we get two days before classes start"I say, grabbing my wand and the Quibbler. "Hey Sole, can't you keep it down in the mornings?" Justin groans. I shrug and head for the great hall, hopping to see Luna.
Cedric Diggory, who was three years ahead of me, was sitting in the common room. "Morning, though I think even Dumbledore heard you yell at Ernie"he jokes, looking at me. "Yeah, I guess"I shrug, then leave the common room. I stop when I see one of the Weasly twins. "Hey Weasly, what are doing down here?"I call, noticing he was at the entrance to the kitchens.
He turns around quickly "just looking". I know he was trying to get in, but I don't care. Instead of pressing it, I smirk to myself and continue on my way. I stop again as MY cat starts wrapping around my legs. "Who let you out, Kimber?"I whisper quietly before picking him up.
Kimber purrs happily as I stoke him and take him back to the common room. As I turn to leave again, Susan Bones runs up to me and giggles when she sees the Quibbler. "What?"I snap, and leave before she can reply. Kimber mews for me, but I ignore him. I had wanted an owl, but my dad insisted that it was a cat or nothing.
I finally reach the great hall and take a seat, glancing at the Ravenclaw table. Luna Lovegood is smiling at me? I wonder, quickly looking away. I grab some eggs and sausage, then open the Quibbler and read while I ate. Why is she watching me? Is my hair still messy? I reach up and stroke my shaggy hair, confused, and look at Luna. She looks at my magazine and giggles before turning to her friend. With a sigh, I look back at my food and keep eating.
