It was cold, very cold. I had just hugged Toriel goodbye. Even being determined to get back home, I was going to miss Toriel. She was like a mother to me. I missed having someone to protect and look after me.

On my way out of the ruins, a long path of snow surrounded by an enormous wall laid in front of me. I began walking down, for about fifteen seconds before I stepped over a twig.

wait, I thought.

A few moments later, the twig was broken.

I swore I heard footsteps behind me, but ignored it until I reached a small bridge.

"human." I heard from behind. I turned around, to see a skeleton. A short, wide, skeleton. This didn't surprise me, the underground was full of monsters.

"heh, i'm sans. sans the skeleton." He greeted. "and you are?"

"Uh, I-I'm [y/n]"

He giggled and started to blush. "that's cute" he stated. "why don't you go through this gate thingy? go ahead, my bro made the bars too wide to stop anyone."

I walked ahead, Sans following behind me.

After about 10 minutes of walking, we passed a large sign that read "Welcome to Snowdin".

"here we are." Sans stated. "do you have a place you need to go? after all kid, you look kinda lost."

"No, I actually am, uh, kinda lost." I muttered.

"that's alright kiddo, you can stay with me and my bro for as long as you need." He said, smiling at me.

"T-thanks." I got out. I didn't know what was wrong with me, I didn't feel like myself. I wasn't sure if it was Sans who was making me feel this way, or the natural uneasiness of just being trapped down here.

I followed Sans back to a slightly large wooden cabin with cute red and green lights decorated on the outside.

I followed Sans inside. The interior of the house was very cozy and laidback.

"make yourself at home, kid."

I walked over to the couch, and sat down. About five to ten seconds of pure awkwardness passed, before Sans came over and sat down next to me.

"so," he started. "my bro is at his friend undyne's house for a sleepover, so the house is going to be ours for a little bit."
