Chapter 8:Closer

Later that night....

We arrive at his house at 9:45 pm I smell food rush up my nose as we enter the house we hear...

"Hey honey and Alex.Dinner should be ready in 15 minutes" Amanda says not facing us.

15 minutes is enough to change and get more presentable. I look at Zack and he smiles.

"By heaven" he says while walking away and so do I.

I take my phone out of my back pocket noticing a text from Nessa.

Nessa❤: what was going on when we came in the laser tag❤

Alex: nothing but he tried to kiss me and he wanted to.He said he wants to try again!

Nessa❤: ohhh omg someone's gotta bf!! Well gtg ttyl.

I put my phone down only going on Instagram.. For the time remaining. So much for looking presentable.

I meet Zack in the kitchen at the same time realizing that he's setting the table and Amanda's plating the food on the plate.

"Eat up you two" she says and we do.

Omg this is soo good now I know where Zack gets it.

"This is so good Ms. wild" I say eating up the steak.

"thank you well you'll get to eat more of this when you come over, you should come over more." She says smiling.

Which made me think where's zacks dad? I don't question because I don't wanna bring up the past.

"Well Alex what do you wanna do when you get older?" She asks me.

"I wanna study Neurology."   I answer. Zack raises an eyebrow at me in confusion.

"The study of the brain good money! Oh Zack doesnt know what he wants to be yet." She looks at Zack sternly.

Zack looks away. "Anyway well you have one more week with us sorry I wasn't here most of it but New York was fun." She says happily

I smile. "Well it was fun and Zack was sweet." I say and he winks.

"Well that's great. Where's samantha?" She asks Zack.

"We broke up um she tried to fight Alex and she did Derek" he says sadly.
I love hearing that they broke up. "Its okay well she wasn't a good girlfriend anyways." I say. He looks at me and raises an eyebrow And smirks.

"Well thank you for the meal but I have to do some late night homework" I say as I get up and put my plate away Zack follows.

"Your welcome Alex, Zack your not done here wash theses dishes!" Amanda says.

"But mom" Zack groans in anger.

"Alex did I ever tell you about Zack running around naked I also have pictures if you want?" Amanda says smiling.

I giggle and " no thanks" as I walk away.

"Anytime" she says as she begins to talk to Zack.

These few two weeks have been the best and Im kinda confused my liking towards Alex when I told her that I should of kissed her I would of but I couldn't it wasn't the time yet.
