The bridge

The wind blew harshly against my face. I soaked in my glorious surroundings, I watched the night sky dance across the unstoppable force of the river. I watched and I lingered. Longing to see such beauty in people or their actions. Unfortunately people are cold and hard, nothing like gentle light that passes through moving streams.
I began to walk again, I can't get distracted. This isn't homework or a craft project. This is serious. I started sprinting, my legs burnt, yelling at me to stop, to slow down. But I couldn't. I've been held back my whole life, unable to even move but now I'm going to sprint. Sprint to the satisfaction life could never give me.
I kept sprinting full throttle all the way there. When I reached the bridge I nearly got sick. I felt my heart almost bursting out of my chest, bile creep up my throat and my legs give way. Luckily I caught myself before falling. I griped the bridge hard breathing, in and out, in and out. I finally looked, I was dazed, I could see the stars clear and bright.
Oddly enough, my heart was calm and so was I. This felt right, this felt like the place I was suppose to be. I turned my back to face the other side of the bridge. It was scattered with houses further back, the bridge itself only overlooked hard concrete road. It used to be really busy hear. Cars rushing over the bridge and under it constantly. But since the high way was built its barely used anymore.
It left a bunch of cafés and b&bs out of business. My eye caught something. I saw the pale blue shimmer of the pool flicker off the wall on the back of the old firmans house. It was right beside the bridge, tucked neatly in the forest. I mean it was more of a town hall than anywhere else in this dump. During the summer all the kids around the area would go down there.
Mrs.F would give us some punch and then we'd take a dip in the pool. I remember Mrs.F telling us stories of her childhood and Frank, her husband. He died a year or two before I was even born. She really loved that man. Even just the way she talked about him.
Mrs.F went senile about a year ago. She had to be brought to a care home. Not surprised. Anything worth having in this town never lasts. Something else flickered against the wall. A shadow. I crouched down, out of habit I suppose more than anything else. Curiosity got the better of me and scurried across the road and leaned against the wall. I slowly made my way to the edge of the wall being sure to make next to no noise, barely even breathing.
No one was going to vandalise Mrs.F's house. Not on my watch. I turned to pier against the edge, when I saw a girl. She wasn't vandalising, she was kinda just standing there. I could see her legs shaking, her chest moving up and down slowly. She was going backward into the pool. She feel in, no she didn't, she jumped in.
Why was there a girl here so late ?! What was she doing with her clothes still on going into the pool?! Why She did she looked so relived?
Before I could think anymore I felt my legs running, my arms sit on each other and I suddenly I was diving into the pool after her.
