I was just sitting there in math class, looking at this boy who caught my eye. He was different. He was a rebel. You could tell there was something dark lingering inside of him. I walked over and introduced myself "hi my names kayle" my heart dropped when he looked up and smiled at me "my names jimmy". After that we instantly became friends, in the middle of class we would throw paper balls at each other, yell at each other in the middle of class and then laugh because the teacher got mad. I knew he had problems with his life, he smokes pot and took pills. One day he walked up to me and said "I took 8" I knew exactly what that meant. I looked at him straight in the eyes, I had to choke my tears back. "Are you serious?... Jimmy no you need to stop" and then the bell rang to dismiss class. He ran and I chased after him, we didn't know much about each other but I cared a lot And I didn't know why. We walked over put side of one of the hall ways. A big crowd surrounded us, a bunch if people that were friends with jimmy. We tried to stop him but he kept taking more and more, he eventually took 14 pills. I skipped 7th period that day to try to help him, and when he got caught he said "I'll take the blame, it's okay" he got taken the the assistant principles office and the next thing I saw a bunch or paramedics come rushing up to the office.... I dropped everything and sat on the ground crying. Everyone asked me what happened but I didn't listen to them, I ignored everyone and didn't say one word even when I went home, I didn't even eat. I saw a picture on Instagram of his arm it was all purple but that was because of IV's. I skipped school the next day and texted jimmy
"Hey it's kayle, i really hope your okay... Please text me back when you can" I couldn't help but cry every time I heard his name, I felt like I could have stopped him. I laid down and watched t.v And took a nap for the rest of the day. When I woke up I checked my phone and I got a text from him "hey I'm fine, don't worry about me. Thank you."
