SHE'S HERE... I'M NOT LYING
I laid down in the hospital bed as I began to play with my bandages. I kept thinking of how Mirra could be still alive. I slowly shook as I thought about this.
The door opened and a detective walked in.
"Hello Ashley Wittiger. I am detective Wittiger and I am here to ask you a few questions, is that okay?" she asked.
I rolled my eyes, "Your daughter just got stabbed by someone who should've been dead, can you try to show some fucking sympathy?!"
She makes me so angry. She isn't a good mom. Ever since my father died, she kept mentioning the true reason why she loved me. "I only loved you because your father loved you. You are old enough and you can support yourself. You don't need mom's love anymore," she would say. I hated her.
"What do you mean when you say that you've been stab by someone who supposed to be dead?" she asked.
"Mirra Kiriko! She is alive. She looks different, scars all over her body and she told me to let everyone know that she's back!" I shouted, "She will kill everyone, her and a guy, just like they've killed Chase!"
I was shaking. I was truly scared. I just wanted to die, why didn't she just kill me.
"Calm down..." she said trying to calm me down.
I looked over towards her, gasping out of fear. I am having a Panic attack and this is the only thing she could say.
"It is impossible for me to believe that Mirra Kiriko stabbed you and killed Chase because she died a little over 3 months ago, by someone who writes go to sleep in blood," She said, making me scream out a frustrations.
"Just shut the hell up. I'm done with questions. I know what I saw, I thought I was staring death straight in the face that night," I said, looking down.
My mom left the room and walked away. I hopped out of bed and removed the equipment that I was hooked up to. I grabbed my antibiotics and placed my leather jacket and black jeans on.
I dialed my brother's number.
It rung... Rung again... And then finally...
"Hello," Mark answered.
"I need a ride home. Can I stay at your place?" I asked.
"I'm in the hospital to take you home but I will let you stay at my house," he said.
I exhaled in relief, "Thank you, I'll meet you out front."
I took some extra bandage wrap and gauze pads. I began to walked out and down the stairs.
Outside, my brother lit a cigarette and puffed on it. He turned towards me.
He flicked his cigarette Bud and held his arms out. I ran up to him and hugged him.
He began to rub my hair.
"I'm sorry, I should've been there to protect you," he said, softly.
"Hey it could've gotten worst," I smiled, "I'm just happy you came for me."
"Well if I didn't who would've?" he asked, placing his arm around my shoulders.
We began to walk to the car.
