• As Amateratsu, by being a god since birth he was spoiled and pampered. He was arrogant and foul mouth, often belittling people. Unlike his older brother, Kyou, he became interested in the life of humans. He decided to abandon his title as the sun (although at times he still uses his title) god and live in the human world.

• As "Asu the Human", who began to spend time living as a human and interacting with those he previously considered to be lesser beings, the Sun God slowly began to understand mankind, and has since developed a kind-hearted and cheerful disposition making him popular among both his colleagues and neighbors.

• Asu is a young man with blonde, spiky hair and sky blue eyes. He typically wears a casual clothing such as jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, etc. His skin is fairly tanned and he has a what appears to be normal figure. According to most of his colleagues, he is implied to be fairly attractive.
