A New Start

It was a sunny day when Nakajima Elle stops by at a minimart. He went to the beverage corner and start scanning for some drinks. He was in his casual clothes and got his backpack on his back. He glanced at the cashier counter after he heard some ruckus coming from there. He opened the refrigerator and reached a canned drink. As he walked toward the counter, he listens to the conversation between a woman and the cashier.

"miss, are you joking with me? You can't even pay a single bottled drink?" asked the cashier. Elle was surprised to hear it, he glanced toward the woman.

"I promise to pay you later. Please!" beg the woman. Elle was waiting behind her. He glances at his wrist watch and sighed.

'I'm late' – Elle.

"how much is this two?" asked Elle while stepping forward. He put his canned drink on the counter. The cashier and the woman went silent. Elle stared at the cashier.

"how much?" Elle asked again.

"sir, you're going to pay for her as well?" asked the cashier. Elle said nothing, he just gave out his serious expression.

"well, okay" the cashier started to calculate the amount that Elle have to pay.

After he looked at the price he needs to pay at the screen, Elle reached a piece of money from his wallet and gave it to the cashier. Elle grabbed his canned drink and went toward the exit.

"thank you, come again" said the cashier to him. The woman was still surprised to see Elle's kindness.

"ah! Wait!" she called out for Elle.

"thank you for the drink" said the woman stopping Elle's footstep. She went in front of Elle and blocked his way. Elle glares at her.

"you're welcome" said Elle trying to escape from her blocking.

"wait. Here is my card. You can come to claim the money for the drink later" she said again blocking Elle's way. Once again Elle glares at her.

"it's okay"

"I'm Sakuta Hiyori, please take this card. It has my work address in it" said the lady again while giving out her name card.

"miss, I'm in a hurry. You don't need to pay me the drink back" said Elle avoiding her.

"no, wait. I insist, here" Hiyori puts the name card into Elle's palm and start walking away.

"well, thanks again" she said while bowing toward Elle and left.

"what an eager lady" said Elle. He continued walking. He glances at the name card in his palm"

"oh, an address of a school? Wait, Meigoku Gakuen?" Elle surprised to see the school's name and as he turned around toward the woman, she was gone.

"missed the chance" he said to himself.

Nakajima Elle looked at his wrist watch again.

"ah! I'm late!" he said and begins running.

At the Himitsu-Yuki Hostel,

At the cafeteria, the students were having dinner together. Furuhata Kazuma and Mizushima Shray are walking together toward a table bringing along their dinner.

"Kaz, have you seen Gray?" asked Shray.

"nope. He isn't back to the dorm yet?" asked Kazuma back while sitting on his chair. Shray nods.

"same goes to Elle. I hope both of them didn't re-enter the hostel late. They will get penalty if so" explained Kazuma.

"Kazu! Shray!" Tenouchi Gray popped out at the corner of the cafeteria. He waved toward Kazuma and Shray. Both of them smiled.
