“Genesis Cain! Please come over here!” the elderly Mr. Smith called out into the class.

I slowly walk over to his class as my classmates sarcastically gasped at me. I stick my tongue out at them and then turn to the teacher.

 “Yes, Mr. Smith?”

“I got a call asking for you. They said to go the main office after class is over.”

"The main office? But that's in the other building!”

“Sorry. Guess you have to go anyways.” he chuckles at my facial reaction.

“Oh, okay.” I wave and go back to my seat.

“Why'd he call you?” my friend, Naomi Harris, asked me.

She was about 5'3 or 5'4. Auburn hair, and light brown eyes make this 15 year old girl so beautiful. Well, all people are beautiful anyways.

“I have to go to the main office after class.”

She laughs at me, “Sucks for you!”

“Well you're nice.” I glare at her.

“Fine, want me to go with you?”

“That would be wonderful.” I smile.

After class ends, we agree to meet at her locker. I pack u my bag since the school day is already over. I close my locker and head towards Naomi's. As I walk, I say “See you Monday!” to a few people. Finally I see her leaning on her locker talking to Eli King. He was a tall 5'7 with blondish-brown hair and hazel colored eyes. He was the kind, “big brother” guy that most people knew and liked in our grade. He literally has no bias towards anyone.

They both look over to me when I reach them. He smiles at me,

 “Sup Gen!”

“Hey! Are we going now?” I look at naomi.

 “Yup.”

We both say goodbye to Eli and make our way out of the second building. We head towards the main building; finally making it to the office.

“I'll wait out here.” Naomi sits down on a bench nearby, “You know how they are with friends with visitors.”

I nod in agreement and go into the room. In front of me is the woman in charge of calls.

“Hello, darling. You are...?” she looks up at me.

 “Genesis Cain.” I say.

“Ah, yeas. Two people say they are here waititng for you.” she points to her right and I turn to that direction, noticing two people I didn't see before.

A bow with golden brown hair and dark blue eyes accompined with another boy with black hair and dark brown eyes. The first boy is about 5'9 while the other is 6'1.

“Genesis! We've been waiting forever.” the blue eyed boy hugs me tightly.

 “Thomas! It's you.” hug back.

Then I look over to the other boy.

 “Andrés!” I hug him also.

He pats me on the back,

"Hey Gen. We came to stop by to say hi.” he says.

His eyes were shining. He was lying.

 “Oh... That's great.”

I wave goodbye at the woman as we head out. As we exit the door, Andrés whispers into my ear, “Have to go to Haven.”

I tense a little at the word. That means I might be in big trouble. I see Naomi and she's talking to Eli once again, but another boy is sitting down also. He's pale with dark brown hair, dark green eyes, and maybe 5'2. It doesn't seem like he's part of the conversation. I'm pretty sure his name is Caleb Carter. He's one of those introverted people. Though he does hang out with Eli a lot, even if they aren't kind of opposite from each other.

“Hey, Naomi.” I wave at the three, “I'm gonna go with these guys, so you can go home alone. Okay?”

Before she can ask questions, I walk quickly out the door with Thomas and Andrés at my heel. I swurve around once we get into a thin alley. I look at my old childhood friends.

“Am I in trouble or something?” I raise an eyebrow at them.

“Why would you ask that?” Thomas cocks his head to the side.

“Don't joke with me. I've never been called to Haven.” I start to nimble on my nails.

“Hey, calm down.” he holds onto my shoulder, “You’re not in trouble.”

 He smiles reassuringly at me.

 “Hopefully.” Andrés pipes in.

I glare at him. He just smirks.

"Hey. I'm just saying. We both have no idea why we were sent to get you.” he puts his hands up in surrender, “But you need to come whether you like it or not.”

I sigh. To be honest, I scared. I'm not called to Haven very much. Even if they do say I'm probably not in trouble, I just can't help but feeling...

 “Fine. Let's go.”

With a slight pain, I erupt red feathers from my back. Two fairly sized wings colored blood red was now attached to my back spine. I look over to Thomas who had innocent white wings and Andrés who bared night black feathers.

We were ready to take flight. Thomas and I jump into the air, wings spread. I look back down to see Andrés still planted on the ground. He's usually the first to soar up...

“What's the hold up?” Thomas calls over.

“Just keep going. I'll catch up.” he looks around the alley.

I catch Thomas' eyes and we silently shrug to each other. So we just follow his orders and start flying up to Haven. People below are too far way to see our true form. If they aren't close enough, all they see are a bunch of birds flying. How idiotic.

I kind of stagger and sway since I haven't flown for a long time. After about three minutes, I see a glimpse of Haven. Which is located in qatar. A sovereign Arab state somewhere in Western Asia. A beautiful state, I should say.

We reach haven which is above their capital, Doha. It's a long flight even with our fast winds, so I sit down for a breather.

In my eyes, Haven is on a beautiful fluffy cloud. Exotic birds and other species live up here; some I've seen on Earth, others I can only see up here.

“How long?” I look up to Thomas.

He checks his watch, “Still 14 minutes. Might have to go just a tad faster.

I groan in annoyance. Our wings can go faster than most airplanes, so leaving Morrisville, PA was no sweat. It's become more of a race when flying to a destination these days.

I get up just as Andrés steps in. He holds two bodies in one hand and one in the other. He drops them on the ground in his definition of softly and wipes his hands on his jeans.

“Naomi?” I run over to her.
