Caleb
I groan as I get up from the ground. I stood on grass that was floating very, very high from Earth's ground. And this place seemed to be forever in sunset zone.
All I remember is Naomi taking us to follow the three people. Then seeing those three people suddenly grow wings that sprouted from their backs. Then the one with black wings came out of nowhere and grabbed us and suddenly took off. I'm not sure of the flight though, since heights aren't really my best friends. But it seems like we're in Doha, Qatar. I mean, above Doha, Qatar.
I look to my right and see Eli scratching his head in confusion. And to my left is Genesis, I think that's her name, checking if Naomi is alright.
“... have to take them to court. We let them see us.” hear the black-winged one say.
“What? Court?” Naomi quickly stands up.
“Yes, court. You saw us change and you know our secret.” he sighs in irritation the loudly whispers to the white-winged boy, “Do you know how annoying that girl was on the way over here. Longest 10 minutes oh my fucking life.”
“Prick.” she glares at him.
“Naomi. Andrés. Cut it out.” Genesis lightly slaps both on the head, “Thomas, help Eli.”
Then the white-winged boy helps Eli off the ground who keeps looking over the edge.
“I wouldn't do that if I were you. It's a long drop from here.”
Eli just smiles back and nods, “So why are we here. Why didn't you just leave us there.”
“Because you would’ve probably told others.” Andrés says in a “duh” manner.
“Yeah, I get that.” he frowns, “But why not just like erase our minds.”
“Just because we got wings and are angels doesn't mean we're all magic and stuff.” he scoffs.
“So you're not magical.” Naomi raises an eyebrow.
“Now, we are. He's just failing at proving the point.” Genesis laughs at him.
She has whit blond hair and bright green eyes. About 5'3, I guess. She's pretty quiet in class, but during lunch or in the hallways I've seen her a bit crazier than usual. Pretty, I must say though.
“Another reason why I took you with me,” Andrés clears his throat, “Is because if you saw us, you're probably supposed to be one of us.”
“Angels?” Eli cocks his head.
“To be unspecific, yes.” Thomas grins.
“Let's just go. They're probably waiting for us in court already.” Andrés takes me and Naomi by the collar, but the girl somehow escapes his grasp.
I could honestly care less.
“Naomi, please just corporate.” Genesis pleads.
“But Gen-”
“Please!”
She sighs, but says yes anyways. She doesn't go near Andrés though.
“Hey you! Come this way.” he calls over to Eli who obediently follows.
His grasp on my collar loosens but doesn't quite let go. I think he's like most people who have met Eli; completely trusting him in an instant. Andrés takes us into the center of... what's it called again? Haven, I think.
“This is the main building. Tell me.” he raises an eyebrow with a shine in his eyes, “What do you see?”
“I see a beautiful white building that's huge and shaped like the old cathedrals back in the middle ages.” Eli speaks up.
