Liam had just finished another day of high school, glad it was soon to be over. He pulled out his phone and plugged in a pair of headphones turning on Spotify as he walked home sending his best friend Louis a text.

Liam: Glad that was over. High school sucks. ):

Louis: Oh c'mon, it's not all that bad. Don't be such a wuss

Liam: I'm not a wuss gosh, Jerk.

Louis: Gayboiiii

Liam: I am not gay. Ihy.

Liam sighed and put his phone in his pocket as he looked up he seen that there were a group of loud annoying freshman walking past. He shook his head at them and continued on his way home. He began to think about how it felt to be a freshman, the feeling of happiness when you realize you made it to high-school. That all changes after the first week, it becomes very dark and depressing. Liam decided to check his phone again not wanting to leave Louis alone to spam him.

Louis: Ilyt.

Louis: Y aren't you responding?

Louis: Are you crying Liam?

Louis: LIAM ANSWER ME!

Louis: Ugh.

Liam: Jesus Louis, I leave you alone for five minutes.... calm your tits.

Louis: well I don't like not having someone to talk to gosh.

Liam: awww how sweet of you Lou.

Louis: Don't call me Lou.

Liam: Don't call me gay.

Liam felt a bit nervous checking the mail today because he knew that soon the most important piece of mail was coming. His acceptance letter. He was scared he might not make it but his Mum and Louis told him not to sweat it, there's no way they would turn down his 4.0 average. Not that they helped much considering he is still scared to see it. He walked up to the mail boxes opening his slowly and sticking his hand in grabbing the few papers. He walked to his house to nervous to look through the pile of papers. He decided he would hand them to his Mum and make her do it for him.

He walked into his house the sweet smell of freshly baked chocolate cookies hitting his nose as he smiled wide. His Mum knows how much he loves her chocolate chip cookies, she's the best. He walked to the kitchen seeing his mum standing there with her apron that had his baby picture plastered on the front. Liam was an only child so almost everything she owned had a picture of him on it.

"Liiiiammmm how was school?" She asked making him laugh softly because she asks the same questing every time he comes home.

"It was good, we got to light stuff on fire in science and some kid caught his jacket on fire."

"Oh no that's not good, was he alright?" She asked giving him a concerned look.

"Oh yeah, he was fine. He might need a new jacket though. " he smiled at his mum and stole a cookie from her without asking.

"Well that's good. How's Louis?"

"I swear you ask the same questions everyday Mum. He's good, I didn't get to see him much today unfortunately. " Liam shrugged as he handed his mom the mail.

"Oooooooooooo maybe your letter came today." She said with a big smile on her face as she shuffled through the papers. "Oh look, here it is." She said casually. Liam's eyes widened.

"No way. You're lying." He shook his head.

"Nope, I'm not." She handed him a small but slightly heavy envelope.

"I don't think I can open it." Liam said as his hands shook.

"Yes you can just do it." Karen sent him an assuring smile. Liam turned over the envelope and ran his finger over the tab holding it closed slowly. He was feeling really nervous now, more than before. He put his finger under the tab opening it carefully and pulling out the papers. He opened the paper and read "We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into WSU..."
