Liam stood still, completely frozen not sure what to do or say.
"Liam? What's it say? Are you in? Liam? Are you okay? Liam?" Karen said, a hint of anxiety in her voice.
"Oh my God , I am officially accepted. I can't believe it!" Liam practically squealed as he slammed the papers on the counter. I have to tell Louis he said as he pulled out his phone walkong upstairs to his room.
Liam: GUESS WHAT?
Louis: you're gay?
Liam: No Lou, guess again.
Louis: you got the letter ??
Liam: even better.
Louis: Oh my God. YOU GOT ACCEPTED???
Liam: HELL YEAH I DID!
Louis smiled hard seeing Liam's message but he also felt a feeling of pain. He was happy for his best friend but he was scared he'd loose his closest friend and he couldn't have that happen. Not that he'd ever tell Liam, he wouldn't want Liam feeling all special.
Louis: Okay but you have promise to visit and Skype oh and you have to text me everyday to keep me updated.
Liam: Wow Louis it almost sounds like you're some overly attached girlfriend.
Louis: Just promise me please?
Liam: okay okay, I promise.
Louis: Thank you.

Liam set down his phone and stared at the ceiling going over what had happened. Wow. This is the best day of his life. He couldn't believe it. His childhood dream was coming true. He turned his head looking at his nightstand hearing the notification saying he got a text.
Harry: Yo, I heard you have some good news. Tell me how you're feeling.
Liam: Yeah man, I got accepted to WSU!
Harry: Isn't that like across the world?
Liam: I mean I guess.
Harry: gotta go, Lou and I are going to the movies.
Liam: oooooo like a date?
Harry: No Liam, be quiet.
Liam: sorrynotsorry.

What if he gets there and nobody likes him? What if they make fun of him? Liam pushed those thoughts to the side and got in the shower turning on 'Hello' by Adele. He secretly loved this song. He finished up and got out putting sweats and a black t-shirt on. He walked into his room jumping when Louis and Harry popped out from the other side of his bed screaming congratulations.
"Ohhh boys you didn't have too. " Liam blushed slightly.
"Yes, but we did have too." Harry said, feeling proud of himself.
"Yeah, we also have a cake downstairs. Mum wouldn't let us bring it upstairs, she doesn't want it getting in the carpet." Louis said as he pulled Liam down the stairs , Harry following quickly behind them. Liam shook his head seeing balloons and a cake in the kitchen. He laughed seeing one of the balloons said 'happy birthday' on it.
" It's not my birthday boys. " Liam laughed and pointed at the balloon.
"Well we took all of the balloons and couldn't leave just one of them behind." Harry said with a huge grin on his face. "So , yes it is your birthday. "
"Correction , Harry couldn't leave one behind. " Louis said earning a playful slap on the arm from Harry.
They spent the rest of the time setting up Skype and eating cake.
