Right Place, Right Time [Nathan Sykes FF]

7-Just a Student!

Nathan's POV-

I was so nervous about tonight..inviting a student to my flat...I know she's not just any student but in my head I knew it was wrong. At the same time, I couldn't wait for her to get here. In a weird way..I missed her..even though I only saw her yesterday. Jay was out with his girlfriend so I didn't have to worry about him. I just wanted to spend time with Katie out of school..then I can really get to know her without worrying about whose gonna walk in and see us together.  I was gonna cook my special, Spaghetti Bolognese..it's always a winner with people when I have cooked it before. I looked at the time and it was almost half seven, she was coming at 8, so I had just enough time to go and get changed. I didn't wanna look to desperate or that I was trying to hard so I chose to wear some chinos and a white three quarter length sleeved top. Nothing to smart and not to casual. I put my best aftershave on, hugo boss orange. I took one last look in the mirror, just to make sure I looked OK. I made my way back downstairs once I was dressed and put some music on quietly, I put Maverick Sabre's album on.

I checked my the time on my watch repeatedly, I didn't know what to do with myself..I was so nervous. The palms of my hands were slightly sweaty, it must be down to my nerves. I got myself a beer out of the fridge and downed it, just for dutch courage. Just as I finished the beer, the door bell went. I took a deep breath and went to answer the door. I opened the door and Katie was stood there. I couldn't believe my eyes..she looked beautiful. She had her hair down and it was wavy. She had hardly any make up on..not that she needed to wear any..she looked pretty with it on but..more beautiful with out it. She was wearing a flowery dress that had a brown belt going around her small waist. 

'Are you gonna let me in or are we just gonna stay like this?' she smiled.

'I suppose I can let you in,' I winked before opening the door wider so she could come in. As she stepped into my flat, she kissed me on the lips. I closed the door once she was in.

'You look amazing,' I complemented her. 

'Thank you,' she said with a flash of that gorgeous smile of hers. 

'You have a lovely home,' she smiled again.

'Thank you, come and sit down,' I smiled.  She done as I suggested and sat down on the sofa.

'Can I get you a drink or anything?' I offered before sitting down next to her.

'I'll just have a glass of wine, if that's ok?' she replied. I went to go and get her wine for her. 

'The food shouldn't too be long,' I smiled as I sat down beside her.

'It smells lovely...what is it?' she responded.

'It's a surprise,' I said as I pulled her closer to me. She rested her head on my chest and I put my arm around her. It felt so relaxed around her, no girl has ever made me feel this way.

'What did you tell Max in the end?' I asked out of curiosity. She came to me yesterday saying that Max had asked to spend some time with her but obviously she wanted to see me and we had plans, but she didn't know how to tell him that she couldn't.

'Oh, I told him that I've gone to my Nan and Grandads for the night. They live not far from here but I said that I would see him tomorrow if I get back early enough,' she explained.

'I know all this sneaking around is difficult but I promise it'll be worth it in the end...I just wanna make you happy,' I answered. She moved her head from my chest and looked at me,

'You do make me happy...more than you know,' she said as she brushed my cheek with her thumb.

'You're so beautiful..I don't think you realise just how beautiful you are,' I complemented. She bowed her head, it was like she was embarrassed. I lifted her chin to make her look at me.

'Did you hear what I just said?' I smiled. Her cheeks were turning rosy pink and she gently nodded her head. I leant in and kissed her softly on the lips. She kissed me back just as delicately. We were getting into the kiss, making me forget that I had the food on. Katie pulled away slightly, and began to sniff..I gave her a confused look before it hit me.

'Oh shit,' I panicked as I rushed to the kitchen. I could hear Katie's footsteps behind me.

'It's ruined,' I sighed.

'It can't be that bad,' she soothed.

'I just wanted it to be special,' I replied in a saddened tone. I felt Katie snake her arms around my waist.

'I'm sure we can sort it out,' she smiled. She was always so positive about things to her, there was always a way around things.

'What do you suggest I do then Miss?' I smiled.

She took a closer look at the food that was ruined.

'It's really not that bad Nath..just cover it with loads of cheese,' she suggested.

'That's a good idea..I will try that. You can go sit at the table now,' I grinned. She kissed me on the lips before making her way to the table, and it wasn't long before I was dishing up the food.

'Do you want some more wine before I sit down?' I offered.

'Yes please,' she smiled. I grabbed the bottle from the kitchen and poured some more into her glass. We then began to eat.

'This is lovely,' she smiled after trying the food. This made me smile.

'I'm glad you like it babe,' I replied. We carried on chatting whilst eating the meal. Once we finished, I loaded the dishwasher and got a beer before joining Katie in the living room.

We were laid on the sofa, Katie's head on my chest and my hand playing with her hair. It was so soft.

'How did I ever end up with a girl like you aye?' I said as I kissed her head softly.

'What do you mean?' She asked sweetly.

'You're stunning, fit, sexy, funny, cute...i'm just a grumpy git,' I laughed slightly.

'I guess you're just lucky,' she teased.

'I most certainly am babe,' I grinned. She kissed me on the lips..but more passionately than she had done before. She was laying on top of me whilst we were kissing. It was turning me on so much..I think she could tell. But I wasn't going to push her into something she didn't want to do. The kiss continued, but I could see a shadow by the sofa. I looked up and saw Jay stood there.

'You're so supposed to be out,' I moaned.

'Well my plans changed,' Jay replied. He then looked at Katie, I think he remembered seeing her at the cinema.

'I want a word in the kitchen please,' he said sternly. It was like my dad had just walked in and was gonna tell me off for having a girl here. I kissed Katie before getting up and following Jay into the kitchen.

'What are you playing at..she's a student,'. You see, I stupidly told him about Katie and how I was having feelings for her.

'What I do and who I love has nothing to do with you,' I snapped.

'You love her?' he scoffed.

'So what if I do?'

'She's just a student..it won't last. Finish it before you get found out,' 

'Don't say that about her,' I shouted. 'She's the best thing to happen to me..I don't care if she's a student, I can't stop loving her just because you tell me to. If you don't like it, fuck off,' I continued..I was so pissed off with him. 

I then heard a small coughing sound. I turned my head from Jay to find Katie stood in the doorway.

'I'd better get home,' she said quietly.

'I think it's best,' Jay scorned.

'Babe, don't listen to him..please stay,' I said as I walked closer to her.

'No..he's right. I'll see you around,' she said before kissing me on the cheek softly and walking out the door.

'Look what you've done...I hope your happy,' I boomed before storming upstairs.

Had I lost her already?
