We leave forever from our home. I can now only hope that whatever has happened ends soon. We are being evacuated. Where the hell do we go? As we head for downtown here's what happened.
"Dad where are we going"?
"Anywhere but here baby"
As that last word slips from his lips, this moment change the course of this night and what happens to me and my family.
The car stops moving as we are in the middle of a burning car about to explode. And it did just that it blew. But left me unable to move and everyone else knocked out.
"DAD"! I kept repeating over and over and he finally came to.
"baby..." He said with a dazed tone
"I CAN'T MOVE!" i said in a panic
He scrambled to find his gun with great reason and persistence. Cause two hundred feet in front of us was one of those monsters.
"Dawn, your gonna be ok baby girl" he said with a tone that brought tears to my eyes.
"We are gonna die, aren't we?"
"Not if I have anything to say about it!"
He starts bashing the somewhat already broken windshield to escape the car. He rips my door off with his bare hands. Not in my life have I seen such strength in him. He grabs me then we hear metal start to creak behind us. As he rushes faster to get me out of the mangled car.
I yell the loudest I've ever yelled in my life
"DAD, HURRY!"
A split second later that creaking metal could have been my death as the 10 story tower starts to crumble. I could feel him shaking.
