"Bollocks." Peggy swore to only herself as she found herself yet again trapped by bullet fire. "You know gentlemen," the call was barely audible over the sound of the bullets that rained down on the agents only protection, a fridge in the warehouse. "if you stop firing then we can call this a draw!" Her futile attempt at bargaining only made the fire heavier and thus more curses fell from her painted lips. It may not have seemed like it at the time, but Peggy had the upper hand in this fight for she had her wit. Still, she held back, her victory would inflict pain on the many who shot at her and she may have been a spy but she wasn't completely ruthless. "Don't say that I didn't give you a chance." She sighed, again to herself, as she pulled out a metallic sphere from her purse and unleashed it from the men. What followed was the laughter of the unsuspecting gentlemen before the wails as the blindingly bright light was released from the seemingly harmful sphere.
Peggy gave it a few seconds then took her protective glasses off and strode casually towards the bundle of writhing men who had instinctively crawled to the farthest corner to avoid the now ceased light. "Men." Carter sighed in exasperation as she tirelessly dragged each of the groaning men towards their nearest crates and handcuffed them there. She brushed her hands together as she made herself scarce and the shouts of the police could be heard. The authorities, of course, were late and the job was already done by the woman who now walked casually through the streets of downtown L.A. Peggy thought back on the mission she had just accomplished and smiled to herself faintly. Good work, agent, she thought to herself as the faint smirk on her lips blossomed into a proud grin. Striding confidently she reached a phone box and pushed un one of her last dollars.
She called the only man who knew what she was up to.
"Edwin? Yes, yes, I'm aware that this is your time to play bingo with your wife but I did it." The rambling on the other end of the line stopped and Peggy could almost hear the smile on her partners face. "The explosives were threaded into female sanitary products and shipped to the warehouse on Halo Street." Peggy looked back in the general direction of the warehouse as Edwin Jarvis praised her for her good work. "Indeed. Well, you should be off. Wouldn't want to be missing out on that absolutely riveting game now, would you?" A long sigh came from Peggy's assistant at her blatant sarcasm. "I'll be in touch soon." With that Peggy hung up and stepped out of the telephone booth to start her walk home, the pride still evident in her every step.
