Cecil: There are many gifts under the tree this year, but the best one may already be oozing onto you floor. Welcome to Night Vale.

*Disparition Music Plays*

Hello Listeners, and may I start off by wishing you a Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone. I'm excited for Christmas year as I'm spending it with my boyfriend Carlos. We're having it at his house this year. He said felt uncomfortable since the last time I snuck a few eyeballs up on there. But hey, if my boyfriend wants to have it at his house, that's fine. He just got back from the desert otherworld and all, so I shouldn't be one to complain.

Now aside from me, we will see what others do around this festive time of year. I asked all the listeners to send in something that shows what they do around the holidays. This first one is from Mara Oswald, a third grader at Night Vale elementary. Wow, this is a really good drawing. It's of the ceremonial blood stone sacrifice, and it depicts the early stages of the sacrifice. It's very detailed. You can even see the little drops of blood that are placed at strategic intervals around the circle.

This is going up on my Tumblr. Also on my Tumblr is a new woodcarving I did. It's of Khoshekh, of course. Since its festive, Intern Dolores decided to put a little Santa hat on him. His kittens have elves hats on. Aw, it's so adorable. I'm in the middle of a carving of Mixtape, my favorite, but I can't get his transparency right in the wood.

But you don't want to hear about boring Cecil, right? Anyways, a few days ago at the station we received a letter from Michael Sandero, the quarterback at the University of Mitchigan. He's says he's training for the new season, and that his teammates have been very supportive of him. Of course, that's what he thinks. He doesn't know for sure since he only speaks Russian. But they all seem very nice from their body language.

Old Woman Josie would like to announce the new Old Night Vale Opera House will be hosting an special performance. Unlike a normal opera, Old Woman Josie with Erica standing behind told us, this is a collaboration of all acting legends Lee Martin's favorite Christmas songs, as he is soon turning 30. It will be the usual opera setting, but will take place one night only.

In response to this news, Dark Owl Records has now opened up their Hanukkah and Kwanza Carol night to the public. Owner Michelle Win stated to us earlier ..."

*Cecil's phone goes off*

Sorry listeners, but it appears my boyfriend Carlos is calling me. While I take this, I'll take you to this prerecorded message from our sponsors.

*Cecil picks up his phone. His voice is muffled*

Carlos, you know not to call me at work.

We do not question life, we do not question death. We do not question reality, time, or the existence of us all that will cause our inevitable doom. But when there is something we see, that is not abstract, we let our curiosity take hold. But time and we are material, and we do not question those. Why must we question everything that we can touch in which is unexplainable? Why can't we hold back our curiosity, like with all the other things we keep hidden inside us? Target. Do not question the orbs.

This has been a word from our sponsors.

Cecil: Sorry about that listeners. Carlos what just calling to see about whether or not Earl was coming. Earl was my best friend, and is now the Head Chef at Tourniquet. We invited him over for Thanksgiving and extended that invitation to Christmas. He called me earlier today saying that he'd decline, as he wanted to spend more time with his son Roger.
