Chapter 2- Battle

I woke up the next day feeling fresh.

I couldn't still believe the fact that I was going to get 600mil ED
for just bringing a guy back. I was kind of disappointed that today was not the day though.

"Eve" I called out as I went downstairs for breakfast.

"Hello Ara." Eve said watching the tv while her drones cooked.

"Hey, can I have some new hack codes?" I asked as I sat down. I felt like I needed at least 60 hack codes for tomorrow's quest.

"Eve gives permission. Phone call came in.Elesis and Raven called to see if they can come over today."

"Ohh. Ok I will call them back later."

Eve was my roommate/family friend.

I looked down at my plate. Two bacons, fried egg, and orange juice. Lovely.

I ate fried egg and orange juice but left the bacons alone. I felt bad for the pigs.

I finished as quickly as I can and went upstairs. I grabbed my phone from my organized desk and dialed number.
111-222-34.....

I waited until Elesis picked up. "Hello Elesis? It's me, Ara. So you called earlier?"

"Mhm yea. Can me and Raven visit you today?"

"Sure. Im getting some new hack codes. I can share."

"YAS YAS!!" Raven chimed in.

Raven and Elesis are best friends from childhood. I recently just joined them. I thought I shouldn't trust people besides Eve after my brother had nearly killed me and betrayed the Hann family. Well, Elesis and Raven are hackers inside the oz they hacked hundreds of codes without the administrator knowing.

"Alright see you in 30 min." I said as I ended the phone.

For remaining 30min, I was really busy. I had to throw out garbage, clean my room, tide up things and normal cleaning stuff.

After 30min passed, I heard a knock on the door. I opend it.

"Welcome" I smiled as I greeted Elesis and Raven.

"Excuse us" Elesis said as she and Raven took of their shoes and came inside.

As usual, they walked to the dining room and sat down. I sat in the middle of those two.

Eve greeted them in a nasod voice.Oh wait I didn't tell you? Well, Eve is a nasod formed like a human.

Eve gave us cookies, brownies and drinks to fill our belly and went upstairs with her drones.

"Sooo hack codes?" Elesis stated.

All 3 of us traded hack codes. That was why they became my friend.

"Alright" Raven said as we were finishing up. "That's enough hack codes for today. Let's do a contest in the oz!"

"Good idea. I'm in." Elesis said as she looked at me.

"Same here." I nodded.

"Alright. Let's go!" Raven saaid as 3 of us headed out.

We arrived at oz after about an hour.

"Let's restate the plan." Elesis said before going in. That girl was all crazy about plans.

"So we do the Shadow Forest dungeon and find out how many ghosts we can kill. Then we meet back here about after 50 min." Elesis said.

Oz didn't create party feature yet, so we have to do the fighting alone.

"Kk" we all cried in unison as we stepped into the portal one by one.

I re-equipped myself with the new spear I got from killing bandits, and set off to the dungeon.

I got into my fighting position as I pressed the start button. Ghosts started to appear everywhere. I quickly used my secret arts to kill most of them. I shot a bomb at group of monsters.

While I was fighting, I took a glimpse of the sidebar where the number of monsters I killed remained.

I read the numbers out loud. "Hp 200, mp 398, numbers 24...."

Half of my hp was gone.

Suddenly, I got a hit on the back. Even though oz don't let you feel pain, you still feel something when u get hit.

I looked down to see a sword ripping my stomache.

I turned around and saw the rare ghost, the ghost that uses sword for attacking

I fainted right after.

I got transferred back to the oz base.

I walked out of the oz zone and went to the meeting place.

Elesis and Raven was already there waiting for me.

"Sorry I'm late" I hurried toward them.

"It's k girl we're chill." Elesis greeted me with smile.

"Let's say our numbers in count of 3. 1....2....3..!" I said

"24!" I said
"36" Raven said.
"48!" Elesis screamed as she smiled.

Deng, I thought.

"Welp the winner is the usual, Elesis" I announced.

"Hurray for me" Elesis yelled.

I looked at my clock and realized it was already late.

"Gotta go. See you later guys."

"Byeeeee" Raven and Elesis said while waving their hands.

I waved them back as I headed home.

As soon as I arrived, I ate dinner, washed, and went straight to bed thinking of tomorrow.
