Life in Pompeii is simple. Metella stays home and watches the slaves while Caecilius, her husband, works. Caecilius is a banker and is out of the house for most of the day. Her son Quintus, is always out with his friends at the bathes and rarely hangs out at the house. So Metella spends her days watching Grumio, the slave cook. Grumio was dashingly handsome and was an all around great guy. She longed for him. Not a day went by without her thinking about him. She tried to drop ints but he didn't seem to pick them up.
