He was devastatingly perfect.
The kind of perfect that would turn heads when he walked down the streets. His stoic expression dazzling many on the pronounced features of his face, and his blond hair swaying in the wind as he effortlessly defeated any monster that stood in the way of the safety of citizens.
You, were one of these people who experienced these expressions, as this young man had saved you when you were on the cliff of despair, desperate to stay alive.
As if God had hand-picked this moment of fate--the dazzling robot had noticed, the plain, normal individual you had called yourself. Your eyes had first sparked interest in what felt like a million years as you had locked eyes with the cyborg, the two of you sharing the moment in utter silence.

You were infatuated right from the very first time you had laid eyes on him.
Though, you weren't the only one who had experienced these changes. He too had felt it in his emotionless body that was as thick as the walls you had put up to avoid hurt. You both were moved as if destiny itself were in front of you, starting to unravel the precious time you held.

Your relationship with him was perfect. The sweet, but tender type of love. No flaws or impurities to tell as you two spent time together. Each kiss was as impassioned as the next, while you locked lips in pure bliss at the small but precious moment. Each touch you gave him, was enough for him to understand your undying love. Each moment you felt, made you feel as if it was enough to die happily.
However... This was the silver lining to your story...
The rain spills wistfully around his cool body, the cold drops of water no longer of any concern to his aching heart, and the barely audible sounds of shared memories being the only thing to sooth the lonesome resounding in his empty mind.
He never expected to end up here, out of all places.
The broken building where he first met your captivating eyes after years of searching for resolve, and the meeting place where he remembers confessing bluntly, the words tumbling off his tongue like the drops of rain that surround him.
He never thought he would be here, regretting all of his past decisions.
The pattern of his steps echoing in the vicinity before him calms his mind. Yet not surprisingly, he is reminded of your overbearingly tranquil voice caressing his ear.
The way it would drown out all meaningless thoughts from his mind.
The way you would make him feel special, despite the many flaws of his body.
The way your gaze embraced the contours of his face, all repeated like broken cassettes in his memory. Even just remembering the most fleeting actions from you, produced heat within his cold metal body.
Even so, the path that you had chosen had what was certain as an inevitable end.
A single soul accompanies him, struggling to communicate with the cyborg in front of her. She reaches out to him, trying to comfort his stripped self who stands completely still. But when her inaudible voice fails to get to him, she hugs him from behind in a desperate attempt for him to feel the overflowing feelings she holds.
He looks up at the sky, feeling a familiar warmth.
However, he finds nothing but the cold and lonely atmosphere before him.
He tells himself that he's blind, and that the familiar feeling is nothing more than a delusion produced by his sad but precious memory-filled heart.
As he immerses himself deeper into desolation, he begins to whisper apologies over and over, trying to envision the soothing figure he called you.
He stands alone in the centre of the crumbling building. Fists curled tightly, his head hung low as he continues to blame himself of everything. All while contemplating on the last moments he shared with you. Contemplating on what you had felt in that moment:
The last moments of your short-lived, but beautiful, memory-filled life...
"I'm sorry, that I couldn't be by your side...." He croaks, eyes shut tightly. "I'm sorry that you had to deal with all of this..."
"I'm sorry you had ever met me... Because of my selfish decisions, you're now gone..."
"I'm sorry (first name)... I love you so, so much..."
As the two individuals reminisce about their pasts; a single tear—the tears that were originally thought to be non-existent—dance down his cold metallic face. Blending into the raindrops around him.
As he wishes, that this was nothing more than a dream...
