"This was your father's house. He lived here in Italy...Every year they would have a masqueerade ball to celebrate... the fall of the vampires..."

"The slayers you mean?" I asked as he nodded but his gaze wasn't on me this time. It was on the mansion. I saw his eyes turn black.

"But what are we doing here if this place is filled with them? Isn't that kind of dangerous?" I asked him as I looked back at the mansion. It really was beautiful though...It really was, and I had every urge to go in and see inside and crash the party, but i couldn't if there was a whole bunch of people there that are skilled and trained to kick my butt at any given moment.

"No, it isn't dangerous because we were invited to this party"

I could have sworn my eyes popped out of my head or something when I looked back at Sebastian.

"You're kidding right? And we are actually going to go inside ? How do you know this isn't a freaking trap!! They could kill us!" I exclamied looking at him kind of shocked. I thought he would be a little smarter than that. Espcially him of all people.

"Them? Ha, yeah right...They couldn't even if they tried," He snorted as he took a decorated black mask that was decorted with beautiful red rubies from his pocket.

"We're out numbered though...They REALLY could kill us!"

"You're the Third Moon Child...They wouldn't try anything. Not when I'm around. Trust me," He said as he placed the mask over my eyes as I shook my head.

"I don't think this is a good idea though..." I said and then he grabbed hold of my hands walking closer to me to close the space between us as his eyes just took hold of mine.

"Do you trust me?" He said still looking into my eyes as I nodded.

"Yes I do," I said.

"Then trust me when I say this..." He rested his forehead against mine still looking at me with those icy blue eyes,"I won't let them hurt you. I promise....Okay?" He whispered as I nodded.

"Okay"

When we  had walked inside the mansion Sebastian led me through the crowds. It was all so beautiful as we walked through the ballroom. An amazing chandaliar that hung over everyone with as many diamonds as there as a million stars in the night sky, the walls were painted gray, and the danceffloor was tiled black. it really was a vampire's home. Very depressing obviously. Everyone was wearing beautiful ballgowns , but as we passed through the crowds we earned ourselves a couple of stares from a whole bunch of people. I got evil stares from most of the women who were probably in their thirites which is stupid considering I'm nineteen and they are hating on me? Some stares from guys who were actually really good looking so I really couldn't complain. The music was obviously classical....Not really my kind of music. As Sebastian led me through the crowds we ended up on the terrice. I was glad to be away from the terrible classical music. It was  giving me a bloody headache, but the terrice really was pretty as it was decorated with red roses, and was pretty much our own little ballroom, but our ceiling was the night sky and our chandilar was the crescent moon. Sebastian bowed and smirked up at me as he held out his hand to me.

"May I have this dance?" He asked.

"Why of course you may!" I said in an perky voice as I smirked playfully at him as he chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck and rested my head on his chest and started to dance. but then I realized something.
